Jerome picked both Nina and Amber up to take them to Eddie's place. William stayed back at Nina's place, promising not to go anywhere.

As soon as Jerome took off driving, Amber turned around in her passenger seat at Nina sitting in the back.

"Can I help you?" Nina asked as Amber just stared at her.

"Can't you see it?!" Amber suddenly yelled.

"Well, I'm deaf in my left ear," Jerome said, rubbing his ear considering he was sitting directly on Amber's right.

"See what?" Nina asked.

"Williams's still in love with you. You know what happened last night."

"He was just comforting-"

"-don't you dare use that excuse, Nina Martin. You just got back together with Fabian, and you know that."

"Well, why are you scolding me about it? I can't control how William feels."

Amber fell silent and didn't respond.

"Oh, and Amber has been shut down," Jerome joked in an announcer voice.

"You're about to end up in the boot, Jerome!"

That silenced Jerome.

"Woah, Amber," Nina began, "calm down. I know you're a strong Fabina shipper, but you don't have to worry. Wina will never happen."

"First of all," Amber stated, "it's Willina. Second of all, of course it'll never happen. I won't let it. And neither will you. Clear?"

"Crystal."

Amber turned back around in her seat, facing the windshield. Soon enough, the three of them arrived at Eddie's place by the time everyone else already had. They'd have to collect all the stuff and then head over to Anubis house, since that was where the tablet was always pieced together in the dream.

They got out the car and went into Eddie's house. All the pieces to the tablet wouldn't fit inside the chest, so each Sibuna member already there was holding a piece, except for Alfie. The last three out of seven were each given to Jerome, Amber, and Nina to hold. It'd just be some sense of unity among the group before actually uniting the pieces.

When everyone was finally ready to head to Anubis house, half of them riding in Eddie's car and half in Joy's, they filed out Eddie's house.

On their way to the cars, Alfie complained to Joy, "'Don't give Alfie one,' they said. 'He'll probably break it,' they said. 'He might lose it,' they said. Hey, why don't you guys trust me?"

"Because you've given us so many reasons not to," Joy admitted. "Now get in the car."

Joy drove, Alfie sat in the passenger seat, and Jerome and Amber sat in the back. Eddie and Patricia rode in the front of Eddie's car, and Nina and Fabian sat in the back.

Eventually, they pulled up to Anubis house on their old high school's premises. The next school term hasn't started, so it should've been empty. Nina picked the lock open with her lock-picking skills and let everyone inside.

"We're always breaking and entering," Alfie said. "This is kind of illegal."

"Yeah, but saving the world isn't," Patricia pointed out.

Everyone agreed to that.

Nina and Eddie stopped in the exact spots the dream took place. They'd construct the tablet on the ground and see what'd happen afterwards.

Everyone else stood a bit of a distance away, leaving the pieces right before Nina and Eddie. They both knelt down, looking at the shapes of the pieces to know exactly where they fit. They took turns sticking them together, piecing it as slowly as they could.

With every piece they connected, they could tell they sealed with a glimmer of light. All the hieroglyphic writing was coming together, and as it sealed, it seemed as though it were never broken.

Nina held the last piece in her hand. Before piecing it on, Fabian approached her.

"Nina, wait," he interrupted.

Nina stood up to speak to him.

He continued, "Before whatever happens-" he reached into his pocket and brought out a round piece of silver, "will you marry me?...Again?"

Before Nina could answer, Amber exclaimed, "No! It has to be romantic! It has to be in a nice area with candlelight and soft music!"

"Amber," Nina explained, "if the world could potentially end in the next few minutes, which it potentially can, I think we can skip out on the romantic scenery to make a vow to eachother."

"Oh," Amber replied, realizing that. "Sorry. Carry on."

"So?" Fabian asked, facing back towards Nina.

"Yes," Nina nodded. "Yes, Fabian."

Fabian slid the ring on Nina's finger. Fabian backed up to the rest of the group, again waiting for Nina to connect the final piece in the top left corner of the tablet. She took a deep breath, knelt back down, and did so, the entire tablet glowing once it was all united.

The glowing continued and the tablet began hovering.

They didn't notice anything important happening until Patricia cried out, "Guys?"

She held her left hand up which wasn't really there anymore. It was breaking into fragments and her entire body continued to. She was fading away from existence, and nothing could stop her from doing so.

"Patricia!" Eddie yelled, racing toward his wife, but not in good time. By the time he reached her spot, she was just a memory.

Soon enough, the others went through the same thing. Nina and Eddie looked around at their friends breaking apart into a million tiny, fading spectacles until they were all gone. Nina tried to hold onto Fabian's arm, but he disappeared under her grip.

"What's going on?" Nina asked, tears in her eyes as well as Eddie's.

"It's the tablet," Eddie muttered. He suddenly screamed, "Bring them back! Bring them back!"

He hurried back over to the tablet, trying to reach for it, but a sharp pain echoed throughout his arm as he did as though it were tearing his muscles apart, and so he was forced to withdraw his hand.

"We have to get them back," Nina declared.

~~~~~
So they pieced the tablet together, and their friends ended up disappearing! Either they ended up somewhere else, or they're no longer existent...
Do you think they'll get the others back?
