"I'll wait for you here,"
Kier said when I removed the seatbelt. We're currently here at the cemetery.
Its been weeks since our sweet Lili passed away. It was heartbreaking, even until now. At hanggang ngayon, nakakapanibago. She treated sweet Lili like sister...more like, she was sweet Lili's second mom.
"Thanks,"
Kier handed me the flowers that we bought before going here. Lumabas ako ng sasakyan at dumiretso sa puntod niya. I put down the flowers I was holding before sitting beside her home.
"Hi, sweet Lili..."
"How are you holding up there? I hope you are happy. I hope there's no pain in there..." I slightly fixed the other flowers that were already there.
"Looks like you have a lot of visitor, sweet Lili."
"Kakauwi lang kahapon ng mommy at daddy mo. They went to Italy to visit Pops. Sumama sila kuya pero nauna rin umuwi dahil may pasok pa. They're busy with the bussiness too."
"Ang hirap...dahil wala ka. We love you so much that's its difficult to go on with our day without thinking of you."
"But I know... we have to move forward. We have to continue with our lives, just as the same as before, only that this time, you aren't here with us physically. But in our hearts? You will always be here."
"I love you, sweet Lili."
When I stood up, I glanced at Kier's car. I saw him standing outside. Then I looked back to see sweet Lili's home. I closed my eyes and offered a prayer.
"I'll see you again soon, our sweet Lili." I whispered before walking towards Kier's direction. When I was meters away from him, he spread his arms.
I immediately ran towards him. I closed my eyes when his warm and comforting embrace welcomed me.
"Feeling better?" He whispered.
"Yup."
I hugged him tighter. "Thank you..."
"Huh? Why?" He curiously asked. I smiled when I felt the vibration on his chest.
"Wala lang. I know you're busy but still, sinamahan mo pa rin ako."
"Tss. I'm not even that busy."
"Narinig ko kaya kanina."
"I can make time."
I heard him talking to his secretary kaya alam kong busy siya.
"Where do you want to eat?"
"Let's just go to your condo."
"Alright."
"I'll help you." I said
"Nah, its fine. Ako na." aniya
But I ignored him.
"How do I cut these?" I asked, pointing to the veggies on the island counter.
"Kulit mo," aniya saka napailing.
I stuck my tongue out. "Sabi ko e, I'll help."
Muli siyang napailing. Kinuha niya ang hawak kong kutsilyo. "Here. You just have to cut it like this."
