"Are you going to bring your car?" Caya asked
"Uhm, no." I said. Kier will fetch me after class. He asked for my class sched so I'm sure he'll be at school, waiting.
"Okay! Tinatamad akong magdrive. Pasundo na lang tayo?"
"Sure, mas mabuti pa nga."
When our class ended, I immediately went to the parking area. Kier texted me. Nandon na raw siya.While Caya went out with a guy. Kaya pala hindi niya dinala ang kotse niya!
"Hi!" I greeted when I entered his car.
Iniabot niya kaagad ang lychee juice.
"How was school?" he asked
"You sound like a sugar daddy, Kier." natatawa kong saad.
"Well, I can be your sugar dad, if you want."
Hinampas ko siya sa braso. "Eww! Disgusting!" This time, siya naman ang natawa sa reaksyon ko. Kainis 'to!
"Damn, I'm too young to be called your sugar dad."
"Duh? You're older than me. Three year gap, remember?"
"So you want me to be your sugar daddy? Sugar baby?" pang-iinis niya
"Gago! Kadiri ka!"
Napahalakhak siya. He was even clutching his stomach because of laughing so hard. Ni hindi pa kami nakaalis ng parking area.
"Stop teasing me!" I said
He was all smiles as he answered me. "You were the one who opened that topic,"
"Then can we just close that? Alis na tayo." I rolled my eyes.
"Fine, fine." Natatawa pa rin niyang sagot. "Where do you want to go?"
"I just want to go home," I answered
"Then let's have a dinner first," aniya
"Okay, sure."
After he parked his car, sabay kaming pumasok sa restaurant. It was all asian cuisine. Tikom ang bibig ko nang makaupo kami. We ordered food and really though, hanggang dito ay madami siyang kakilala. And most of them are women.
"By the way, this is Kianna Laureen," he introduced.
I just smiled.
"Laureen, this is Venus. A family friend." he added
"Oh come on! Just a family friend?" she teased
I froze on my spot. Naramdaman kong napatingin sa direksyon ko si Kier. Something inside made my stomach churned.
"Venus.." he said in a warning tone.
Tumawa si Venus. "Just kidding! I got to go. Enjoy your dinner!"
Hindi ko alam. To hear something like that from another woman? I don't know what to think anymore. But... Can I blame him? Maybe it should be me who must be blamed. We never really did even once, talk about our relationship. What's the real score between us? What are we, anyway?
"Laureen, she was just joking." he said after a long silence between us.
"Okay." I simply said
"I'm not seeing anyone. It's just you." he added
I just nodded.
I heard him sigh out of frustration. What? Why is he frustrated?
We ate our dinner in silence. Minsan ay nagtatanong siya kaya sinasagot ko rin naman. I just enjoyed my baked sushi and ramen.
