Caya was diagnosed with PTSD. She already woke up but we were prohibited from seeing her and it was also her request. Everything that happened last night, it was still vivid in my head. I was supposed to meet with Kier today but because of what happened, we had to cancel it. I also told him about it because I feel like my head will burst if I will keep it inside. Hindi ko inakala na mangyayari 'to. We've known Caya since the very beginning and we did not expect that she will resort to this.
Pero sino nga ba kami--ako, para husgahan siya? Maybe the pain was too hard for her to handle. She just lost her father. Tita blamed her because of it. She and South broke up. Her world was falling apart and she was just there...in the middle, watching it as it slowly crumble to dust. I am not on her shoe, so who am I to judge my cousin?
I am just thankful that she is still here with us.
"I'll drive you home." Umiling ako sa alok ni Izaac.
"I already called our driver. He'll drive us home. And you're not driving your car." Kuya Xian intervened. "You haven't sleep. We don't want another hospital bed waiting for you."
Hindi siya makaangal sa sinabi ni kuya. Kuya's words was marked with finality and he looked serious. And so we went him to take a rest. When I reached home, I took a bath then I slept. I was drying my hair when Kuya Xian called. He checked me up and asked if I wanted to come with them. We are not allowed to see Caya but still, we insisted to go back to the hospital.
"She had another episode so the doctors had no choice but to sedate her. Her wounds are still new so there was bleeding and---"
"Is she okay now? How is she?" I worriedly asked.
"She's stable for now. We already cleaned her wounds which opened again."
When night came, a news was delivered to us. "Tita decided to move Caya abroad. She will receive treatment there." Kuya Alexander announced.
"And tita decided na huwag muna tayong magpakita kay Caya because it might trigger her again to relapse. She's still vulnerable."
It was a sad news. But I understood where tita is coming from. She wanted to protect her daughter. She and Caya might not have a good relationship right now, but I know, tita is trying her best to protect her from everyone and everything. Lalo na ngayon na hindi maganda ang kondisyon ni Caya.
Slowly, everything went back to normal. Caya and tita already went to abroad two days ago. Our parents told us that they already admitted Caya in one of the prominent hospital there.
We are also doing our best to live normally although we can't deny the fact that it felt empty without Caya.
My duty in the hospital was extended because of the number of absences I had for the past few days so I have to really work hard for it. Kier and I do not meet often as we do before because he is also with his work. But he always update me about his whereabouts and errands he do for the day.
"You look damn tired. Are you sleeping, Ki?" Kuya Xian asked when he fetched me from the hospital. No one was available, even the drivers, dahil sinundo ang mga bisita nila mommy. More like, bussiness associates. And Kuya is the only person who's available so he's basically here to drive me home.
"Ang toxic, Kuyaaaa." Reklamo ko pagkaayos ng seatbelt.
He chuckled and ruffled my already messy hair.
"Let's dine in to one of your favorite restaurant." aniya
Mabilis akong napabaling sa kanya. "Really??"
"Yep. My treat."
I have a lot of favorite resto but none of it was appealing to my appetite at the moment. Except for the food that we just passed by. I saw some students buying food coming from the vendors on the street.
