"Good morning,"
I looked up and saw mommy sitting in the living room, while holding a cup of tea. Instead of going to the kitchen like usual, I walked towards her.
"Good morning, 'mmy!!!" I greeted and kissed her on the cheek.
"You're going somewhere po?" I asked after I saw one of our househelp push a luggage.
"Yes. Conference abroad. I'll be gone for three days."
It's winter. Should I pack my bag and go to Ate or Caya's house? But maybe dad will be back soon.
"And dad?" I asked to make sure.
"He'll be here. He called earlier., uuwi naman 'yon." She answered. "You want any pasalubongs?"
I smiled. "Anything mommy. I want another perfume, though." I pouted.
"Come here," she patted the space beside her. I immediately went and sat down.
"You take care of yourself while mommy is gone, alright? Be good to daddy."
"Yes po, mommy!" I answered and even raised my right hand as a sign of promise. She laughed as she hugged and kissed me on top of my head.
That has always been the scenario as I grow up. Needless to say, my parents are always busy but they would always make sure to spend quality time with me. Sometimes, if they'll be gone for weeks, kinukuha ako ng mga tita at tito ko. Doon ako natutulog sa mga bahay nila. I grew up living in a different house but I enjoyed it a lot. I spent my childhood with my cousins.
Their parents are as busy as my parents. Reason why me and my cousins, at my father's side, are close.
"Kianna, come on! Pupunta tayo kila Caya!"
I turned off the television since 'di naman talaga ako nanunuod.
"Sleepover?" I asked
"Yup! Xixi's back," Kuya Xian answered
"Really?! Sandali! I'll just get my bag!" mabilis kong saad bago tumakbo papunta sa taas.
Ate Xianna, or Xixi in short, is Kuya Xian's twin. Pumunta kasing London last week dahil walang pasok. Sembreak. Pero patapos na.
Actually, dapat, lahat kami ay sasama. But the oldies, ang kj nila! Just because we sneaked out and went to Amanpulo, it doesn't mean we cannot be trusted! And it just happened.... twice! 'Di naman all the time!
I just brought with me my small duffel bag. The one I usually used kapag may sleepover sa bahay ng mga pinsan.
"Lets go na!" excited kong sabi
"Wait! Ubusin ko lang 'to!" Ani Storm saka nilamon ang natirang cake sa plate niya. I just rolled my eyes.
"Inubos ko nga pala ang cake sa ref, a." paalam niya sa akin
I smirked. "Okay lang. Mag-iexpire na rin naman 'yon mamayang gabi."
Napatigil siya sa iniinom na apple juice at nanlalaki ang mga matang napatingin sa akin. Napatawa kami ni kuya nang mabilaukan siya.
"Fucking seriously?!" sabay lapag ng baso sa table.
I laughed so loud. His face was so priceless! Akala mo naman nilagyan ng lason!
"Almost??" patanong kong sagot
