I barge into the double doors at the front of my school, the rain now absolutely pouring down. I'm soaked, I peer from under my hoodie at everyone.

"This morning can't get any worse" I say under my breath.

"LEEZIE! LEEZIE!"

A familiar voice yells out for me.

It's my childhood best friend Adonis but Donnie for short, Don for short short or Skronk if you've seen how shit he is at Mario Kart.

"Z, what happen to you?" he says with a concerned look.

"I had a shit morning ok. Didn't think it was that noticeable but whatever just drop it." I say moving swiftly towards my locker and Donnie keeping up beside.

"Well you're my best friend you can tell me." he says standing next to me watching me put in my combination.

"Look don't worry about it right now Don." I say getting out my books.

Donnie growled.

"Did she do something to you?" he says picking my chin up to meet my eyes with his. His hazel eyes behind his nerdy glasses always made my truth come out. He knew that.

I push Don's hand off my face.

"I don't want to talk about it right now. Why can't you just drop it!" I say while blanking staring into Don's eyes.

"Taleaz, calm down I ju-"

I interrupt him.

"You know I'm really sick and fucking tired of people telling me to calm down this morning!" I slam my locker and storm to class. I can feel his gaze burn my back. Why do I blow up on the people I love?
