"Harry!" I called as Cedric and I approached the contestants.

For a second, Harry looked over and nodded as if I was a friend just passing by. He then turned his focus back to Cho, who looked like a dream, to say the least. I couldn't even blame Harry for his dazed state. However, once his brain had a second to realize it was me, Harry's head snapped back up, and he headed straight for me with open arms.

"Maisie!" Harry was hugging me before anything else was said.

"Hey stranger," I grinned. "Didn't think I would see you here,"

"That is my line," Harry grinned. "What are you doing here?"

"I couldn't miss it," I smiled, turning to Cho. "You are beautiful,"

"Harry said I looked like moonlight," She blushed. I could see how the compliment made her feel. Cherished.

I looked over to Harry, who was trying not to blush too hard. "That is... the cutest- shit,"

"Maisie," Harry sighed. "Oh, I almost forgot" He turned over to another pair. "Minnie, come here,"

A woman, who I had to do a double-take, approached us. "Hermionie?" I walked forward, arms reaching. "Is that you,"

She grinned and took my hand while looking me up and down. "You are so beautiful, Maisie,"

"I was about to tell you the same,"

She blushed and looked to Cedric, "So he managed to convince you into coming,"

I looked over my shoulder and saw Harry and Cedric were in deep conversation. I reached for my watch and nodded my head slowly. "I- someone did,"

Hermione nodded, understanding the point I was trying to make. "He... He keeps harassing people when your letters come in, you know. Trying to get every update on you that he can,"

I nodded, "I...." I didn't know what to say, but I did know what I wanted. I wanted nothing more than to talk to George, to see him and thank him for everything.

Katie be damned.

"I know," Minnie said as if she could read my thoughts. "He... it's not the same for anyone," There was a pause between us and then a shift in stance. "But," Hermionie grinned and stepped away from me. "Who can think of anything else when you are in such a stunning dress,"

"That's what I've been telling her," Cedric stepped forward, slipping his hand from the small of my back to my hip. "Maybe she will believe you,"

I looked up at Cedric and took his hand. "I do,"

"Champions," Minerva stepped forward and looked at each pair. When her eyes fell on me, she smiled. "Cedric, since we are hosting this year, you will go first, followed by Krum and Fleur,"

We nodded, and Cedric led me into position. As I passed the professor, She held up her hand. "Ms. Scamander... a delight to see you,"

"Professor," I nodded.

I looked to Cedric right before the doors opened. "Remember," He whispered. "Everyone is about to turn all their focus to us; the spotlight is ours,"

I gripped his arm and smiled. "Let's get the gossip wheel turning," My heart was in my mouth; I was so nervous, it wasn't just the people, it was something else. George was going to be out there, arm in arm with someone else. My eyes drifted to my companion, and I took a deep breath in. I could do this; I could prove I was happy. That the only thing people could talk about was the smile on my face and the way Cedric held me.
