"Thank you," I said as we walked out of the pitch.
"Don't worry about it, but I am not sure how long that will keep working," She said. "George will get wise eventually,"
"Hopefully," I laughed. "But that means George has to get wise, and I don't see that happening,"
"Are you okay?" Angelina asked. "I ... I can't imagine if Fred did that to me,"
I nodded, but we all knew I was lying. Angelina tightened her grip on my arm. "I ... I know... that you must be feeling a lot right now,"
"Mostly feeling impressed that you managed to stop George from following us,"
"Sure, we will avoid the problem with humor," She said. "Because I have never had to deal with that before,"
I pursed my lips; it was an intelligent move, comparing me to the twins.
"I feel like I got hit with a spiked bludger," I said.
"I can imagine," She said. "Can I ask... what are you doing here?"
I paused. "Don't tell George, but I lost my watch in the fall,"
"Oh- OH," She looked back to the field, "Should we go back and look,"
I smiled at Ange; of course, she would offer. "I will have Cedric help me look,"
Angelina's mouth twitched at the mention of Cedric. "Nice of him- Are you still coming to ball dance practice-"
"Is it still in the tower?"
"Yeah,"
"Then I will pass, but thank you,"
"Why?"
"I just... need some time from the tower," I whispered. "Every time I turned a corner this morning... I kept being terrified that I would see George,"
"That makes sense," She nodded. "But what about your friends in Gryffindor? We are going to miss you,"
"I will... find time to see you guys just as soon as things die down,"
"Ginny is worried," Angelina said. "I think... she thinks you are mad at her,"
"I would think so too; I kind of stormed out of there in a bit of a flash," I paused. "She was the one who told me. I will apologize today; she didn't deserve to feel like that,"
"I think she knows the truth, but" Angelina paused. "Fred said you also went into it with him yesterday,"
I winced, "Part of me was angry at everyone in Gryffindor, even Harry."
"Why?"
"I couldn't believe no one knew," I wiped a tear from my face. "I couldn't believe that this wasn't some big joke on me. I know that isn't the case- but it just," My eyes were watering again. "I just was so embarrassed,"
"Maisie," Angelina pulled me into her arms and sighed. "I am... I am so sorry-"
"It's not your fault,"
"It still must hurt," Angelina said. "No one- not even Katie wanted this for you,"
I nodded and pushed away. "I know... and things will get normal again, but," My eyes looked off to the pasture. "Now I think I need some space just for a bit,"
Angelina nodded; she seemed to understand where I was at. "We will be here, and we all are rooting for you, Maisie,"
I hated being called that now. With one last look, Angelina turned to the pitch. "I will make sure George doesn't follow you,"
