Chapter 28: I'm not weak

"Why wouldn't you let me fight?!" I asked.

"You were kidnapped by Eva and then physically KILLED by her! If it weren't for spirit voodoo, you'd be gone!" Shark said.

"Shark, I'm not weak! I can fight her!" I yelled.

"My decision is final." He said.

"But Shark-"

"I said my decision is final!" He yelled, his eyes beginning to glow.

I sighed. "Whatever. I'm going whether you like it or not." I said, turning around to walk towards Yuri and Dennis.

Suddenly, I felt a sharp burning pain in my heart. I turned around and saw that Shark was holding his hand out towards me, and it was glowing.

I grew angry, and felt my eyes glowing blue, but then the power just faded away.

"What did you just do?!" I yelled once the burning stopped.

"I can't have you running off and doing something reckless. I'm preventing you from using your Barian powers." He said with an angry glare.

I clenched my fists and slowly walked towards him.

"I'm not weak. I'll defeat Eva with or without your help." I said.

"Zueki. You are to stay here and-"

I cut Shark off with a swift punch, causing his nose to bleed. Several people gasped, and I too was a bit shocked. I mean, one, I just punched my dad. Two, I just punched the god forsaken BARIAN KING.

However, I didn't feel sorry for what I did. I turned away and walked towards the exit of our camp.

"Anyone who's willing to fight alongside me, follow." I said, then continued to walk.

Valerie, Zelena, Dalia, Lexie, Yuto, Yuri, Dennis, Yugo, Yusei, Zane, Atticus, Vector and Reiji followed.

Well, at least I have SOME army.

"Don't come crawling back for help! If you're hurt, don't think of coming to me!" Shark yelled.

I stopped walking. "Good. I don't need any help from you. If you die, I don't give a fuck!" I said, flipping him off as I walked away.

I lead my group to another clearing in the forest, one that was much closer to Paris.

"Alright. Let's take a little break here. Next, we're going to head for my house." I explained.

"So, we're raiding your house?" Atticus asked.

I shook my head. "That will be our camp. There's food and shelter. Plus, it's much easier to defend that place when Shark has a secret weapons bunker." I said.

Suddenly, I heard a rustle in the bushes. I quickly turned around and whipped out my pocket knife.

"Who's there?!" I yelled, thinking someone had followed us.

The figure slowly walked forward, revealing himself.

"Kite. What are you doing here?" I asked, lowering my weapon.

"Well, I could hear the fight you had with Shark. I figured you might want someone like me on your team." He said.

"Why do you think that?" I asked.

"Because, even if you're not weak, you'll want my help." Kite said.

I smirked. "Why am I suddenly taking a liking to you? Especially after everything you did to me?" I asked.

After discussing a few details of the mission with Kite, I lead the group to my house. It was tricky, and we were almost spotted by some of the stone knights, but we managed to get to my house.
