Chapter 30: Redeem Yourself

"...ki!.."

"Zueki!"

I opened my eyes slightly to see a small source of light. I groaned as I tried to sit up, but couldn't. Turns out, you literally get crushed and covered in rubble when a building collapses.

Yeah, no shit Zueki.

I looked towards the light to see green and red hair.

That's Yuya. I reminded myself.

"She's under the rubble! I see her!" Another voice called out.

Shingo.

I tried to get myself out of the rubble myself, but failed multiple times.

No. I won't accept help from the other side.

I looked next to me, taking notice that Zane wasn't there anymore. They must've gotten him out or something already.

I noticed that Dumon and Mizar were beginning to move some of the rubble, trying to get me out.

"She has to be alive!" A voice said.

"Listen, how could she have survived? She was crushed with a building!" Another voice said.

I closed my eyes, feeling tired. I wanted so badly to get revenge on Eva, but I was just too weak. I was never gonna happen.

Suddenly, I found myself in a clear lake, surrounded by a deep fog, that smelled like blossoms.

I stood up and looked around, wondering where I had gone.

"Kirā."

I turned around to see Mark and Elizabeth standing on the other side of the lake.

"What the hell do you two want?" I snarled, turning away.

"Listen, we know what we did was wrong but-"

"Wow! The old man FINALLY figured out that abandoning BOTH of his kids so they could DIE was WRONG!" I yelled.

"Kirā. We need to-"

"Shut the hell up! I'm not Kirā! I'm Zueki Tsukumo, daughter of Reginald Kastle and Yuma Tsukumo! So don't call me by something I'm not!"

"LISTEN! WE CAN HELP YOU DEFEAT EVA!" Mark screamed.

I froze. "Why would you want to help me? You hate me." I stated.

"Be that as it may, Eva is planning to destroy the entire world! She isn't stable, and you have to save her!" Mark said.

"Isn't stable?" I questioned.

Elizabeth sighed. "When we were in high school, we knew Eva. She was a sweet girl, and did everything she could to help someone. Her sister, Selena, was just as caring.  After high school, when Mark and I had you and Zane, we went out one night. Just the four of us." Elizabeth explained.

"We were attacked." Mark stated. "Our car was knocked off the road. We all died."

"However, a spirit came to us saying that he'd push our wrongful death aside. That we'd be brought back to life and we could take care of you guys. Of course, we all accepted." Elizabeth said.

"But. We didn't know what he had planned. The spirit brainwashed all of us. Your mother and I gave you up, because we were under his influence. Eva attacked you and wanted Shark because of the spirit. She's actually into someone else. Selena is a lesbian, and would never hurt anyone, but, as you may have guessed, the spirit caused that." Mark said.
