"Shortie"
"Ugly"
"Stupid"
These words rang through Jihoon's ears as he walks down the hallway of the adoption center.
These kids weren't really disciplined properly because of the favoritism that the teachers and staffs have for them.
Jihoon was putted here since he was at the age of 3, his parents abandoned him in short.
They didn't have the needs to raise a child so decided to give it away like a stray dog. Sad to think of how selfish they were but they didn't have a choice.
He never really felt comfortable at the adoption center because of the large amount of pride these kids contains along side the way they act behind the visitors who were about to adopt them.
"Jihoon-ah! Come here!"
One of the people who handles at the adoption center called the 16 year old. Jihoon walks inside near the lady confused since he didn't want to seem disrespectful.
"Did I do something?"
Jihoon asks as the old lady gave him a soft smile. "There's nothing wrong except for the results in the paper"
Jihoon stares at the hospital papers that the old woman is currently holding as he just stayed silent waiting for further informations.
"The doctors said you are suffering Depression"
The old lady spoke as Jihoon stayed quiet. He knew he was suffering but depression wasn't in his mind back then.
"How could you be depress? We gave you everything. Clothes, food, water, shelter and others. How could you be depressed despite everything we gave?"
The old lady scolded Jihoon as he tried to fight his tears. Depression wasn't really an open topic back then.
Once you suffer from it, you'd be called dramatic and annoying by the majority. They said it was a part of the parenting culture but why aren't they changing if they knew that it was already wrong?
"But were you there mentally?"
Jihoon asks trying to fight his tears to only receive a slap on his cheeks. Jihoon was surprised by the happening as he never understood their side.
If this was their was teaching, well that person won't learn through abuse. They'll only make it as a traumatizing event that happened to them.
"Ungrateful brat"
The old lady spoke as Jihoon just walked away from the scene. Little did Jihoon know that there was a group of kids at his age that saw his situation.
Jihoon ran to his room as he was shaking through the old lady's words. He grabbed the box under his bed that contains a razor, knives, ropes and etc.
Jihoon then began to cut himself bit by bit, laughing through the pain as he finally got his satisfaction just by seeing his blood.
Tears of happiness they say.
Death was the only thing Jihoon had in mind. He was mentally unprepared with everything.
From their choice of words through their actions. Non of this gave Jihoon Joy. Satisfaction was a will for him and a promise.
