Tossing and turning, I couldn't sleep. It wasn't the bed, or the pillow, to my surprise they were comfortable. My mind was far too crowded and I couldn't sleep with something bothering me that's been on my mind all day. I sighed as I sat up and brushed my bangs out of my face.

Frustrated and irritated I lay back down and stared at the canopy above me. The world faded around me as my eye lids got heavier and soon I found myself transporting to another world.

My eyes remained shut when everything stopped spinning and I could feel the solid ground. Using my ears I could hear a waterfall, and running water. I could hear the birds and animals playing together. I could hear the trees being blown by the wind. Slowly I opened my eyes and found myself standing in the middle of paradise in nothing but my night gown.

Turn around my darling. Following the voice inside my head, it turned around to see the goddess watching me with pleasure. I could tell by the smile in her face. I missed you very much.

I was at a loss for words. This had to be another hallucination. "This can't be real."

But this is real, you just don't believe it. I'm here, and you're here with me.

I glanced around. It all seemed too good to be true. "Where am I?"

Another realm far from Earth and the Celestial Realm. It has no name, for it it hidden to those who aren't aware of it's existence.

All the thoughts running through my mind suddenly overwhelmed me. I felt myself falling and before I could crack my head on the beach, the goddess caught me in her arms and held me close to her body. I could feel her warmth radiating from her. Rest, and don't worry about where we are.

In her arms, I felt whole again. She felt like sunlight and the good kind. I didn't wish to leave her when I woke up. I looked into her eyes, she had a grave expression on.

Oh my, it's worse than I last seen.

I wanted to ask what she was talking about, but she was talking in another probably ancient language I didn't understand. My puzzled expression probably shown my confusion.

The prophecy is coming true. If allowed to rise from the Shadows, they could enslave all of mankind and poison the hearts of what's left of the pure.

The prophecy? I'd never heard of one, in all this time it may of been mentioned but never significant to me.

But in the time of darkness, a hero will arise and defeat them, putting an end to the unfortunate scheme. If they should fail to put a stop to it...

Her eyes seemed lost in space and she didn't finish her thought. "What will happen?"

Promise me Celeste. Whatever happens, be careful who you trust. There are allies, and enemies within the walls of the Shadowlands.

Every word that came out of her mouth was bad news. "How do I know who is an ally and who wants me dead?"

Trust your instincts, my child. Your gut will have the answer. I don't have anymore time, I must leave.

"Wait! Don't go!" I shouted after her in the direction she disappeared to, but nothing was there, no sign of her. Hopeless I returned to the shore where the sand met the water.

I sat at the edge of the water and dipped my fingers in it; The water was cool. Slipping my night gown over my head I was in my bra and underwear only. Slowly adjusting to the temperature of the water, I shimmied deeper and deeper in. The water was only at my waist when I reached the big rocks and the waterfall.

I reached a hand out and let the water run through my fingers. I let my body slip under the water as it fell over me. I could feel the pressure of the world slipping away from me as I soaked it in. I just stood there letting the water run over me with my eyes closed.

I felt myself being transported again and found myself standing in the bathroom not wearing my night gown. My under garments were soaked.

I changed into dry under garments and slipped on another night gown before heading back into the bedroom. I had to brush off some sand from where I was sleeping before I could crawl back under the sheets and went back to sleep.

- Oh hey! So sorry I haven't been updating as much as I hoped lately. I've been busy with school and everything. Thanks for every view, like, and comment, it means a lot to me as a writing. This is still my first book I'm allowing the public to read so it's a bit nerve racking to know people are reading this and judging me on how I write. I am gonna be rewriting many of the chapters in the beginning as I get closer to finishing the story. And there will be a sequel, idk if this will become a trilogy though. Again thanks for everything so far!
