Walking through the door, the scenery changed. It revealed a snowy forest setting, it was so beautiful with the snowflakes falling. Caught in the moment, I tried to grab a snowflake in my hand as it went right through my palm like I was not there. "This isn't real." I looked behind us and we left no trail in the fresh soft snow, the surface left undisturbed by human foot prints.

"What is this?" I looked around for the stranger. He stood there, watching something in the distance. I ran up to where he was, "What are you watching?"

"Shhhhhh," He didn't even look at me, and kept staring into the distant sky.

Slowly turning my body in the direction he was looking, I saw it. It was a little girl playing in the snow, building a snowman with her sister. Getting a closer look, she looked a lot like me, but younger and another girl that kinda looked like me, maybe a sibling. My mind whispered to me a name, Anna. I must of knew who she was before, why can't I remember her. I never knew an Anna in my life.

I was confused. "Why are we here..." No memories came to me from when I was only a child. I started to doubt my past, I never questioned why I had no memories about my childhood. Was I human? Or was my life a lie so far, and I was blinded. Tears started flowing from my eyes. "Why have you brought me here?"

He spoke no words and only watched the young girls play. Nothing could shake him. It was as if he had tuned me out completely.

I had given up on getting his attention. "I get it! Just ignore me!" I ran to a tree and threw myself against it. Whispering to myself, "I have to get out of here." Sobbing to myself, I picked up a rock and threw it through some bushes in anger. I threw a couple more afterward.

I had noticed a cold breeze pass through part of the forest. I shivered and wondered where I had run off too. Trees surrounded me, with no way to lead me back. Slowly picking myself up off the ground I heard a branch on the ground break not too far behind me, followed by a growl. Without looking back or thinking, I ran for it. I felt an unwelcome presence and I didn't want to know who was here. The growl followed me and wasn't too far away. Paws hit the ground and wouldn't stop chasing.

Running for my life I didn't dare look back at what was chasing me. I only wanted the stay alive and live to see tomorrow. It has only been 2 days since I had died, I wasn't ready to die again.

What felt like hours of running through the forest barefooted had worn me down, but if I stopped running I would die. I scolded myself that I should of done track, but I hated running, then again I wouldn't be running out of breath now.

Finally hitting a dead end with no where else to run to I gave up, turning around I had seen what had been after me, a wolf creature. His eyes full of pure terror, and hate. It had attacked me and violently threw me to the ground before I could react and defend myself. All I saw was my own blood staining the precious white snow. I had given up, this must of been part of the warning I had been given, but disregarded. Cries of pain left my lips as it attacked me more. Darkness clouded my vision as I was losing my strength to fight against death.

As I was fading to unconsciousness, the attacker stopped. I heard the beast hit the ground several feet away and whimper. The paw prints picked up but farther away from me, they must of been retreating. Footsteps came closer to me as someone picked me up and carried my near lifeless body away. I felt the body heat as he held me close to him. I gave one more breath until I faded to the darkness.
