It has been a couple days since the break up and Nat was not looking so good physically she looked like a walking zombie. Nat had bags under her eyes and was losing weight.She had to resort to pepper up potions and makeup most days. today was one of those days, there was a meeting she couldn't miss.
Nat arrived at grimmauld and was enveloped in a group hug by the weasley boys, Hermione, and Harry
Hermione: We heard what happened between you and Remus. We are here for you.
After Nat healed Hermione she received a letter from her saying thank you and that she was sorry for being rude to her. Ever since then they have been friends.
Nat: He told?
Hermione: uhm no Tonks has been too close for comfort and well you aren't staying here. Everyone noticed and well they came to the conclusion.
Nat: Oh, of course good old cousin( says sarcastically)
They walked where the meeting was taking place and sat, the trio and twins sat around Nat creating a barrier between her and remus.
Harry: How are you holding up and are you wearing makeup?
Nat: Is that obvious?
Harry: not really no I noticed because I am right next to you.
Nat: Thank god I don't want to give them the satisfaction of seeing me like the walking dead. I am Artemis Natalia Black I don't let someone insignificant bring me down, I am a queen, love.( She says in her English accent and winks at him and Harry just smiles at her)
Harry: He is a git. Padfoot says that you have been taking pepper up potions are they working
Nat: they help a bit. I had to start taking vitamins as well. I can't seem to be able to eat.
Harry: You are strong, you will get through this, we are here for you.
Nat: thank you now how you've been, oh noble sir.
They both laughed at the continued accent she did. Order members were walking in for the meeting.Everyone took a seat, Dumbledore arrived, he dismissed the kids and started the meeting.
Dumbledore: We have a new member today.
At this the door opened to reveal a tall handsome man around Bill's age.
Dumbledore: every one this is Jacob Mccall he will be joining the order to take a seat.
At the mention of Jacob, Nat looked to where he was and broke into a giant smile
Nat: Jacob?
Jacob: Tasha?
Nat: OMG how are you here?
Everyone was watching the exchange between them. Remus had seen when Talia smiled he had seen that smile reserved for him.
Jacob: Am great wow I can't believe you're here.. Bonnie said she sent you away but didn't say where.
Nat: Aunt Bonnie is alive?
Jacob sits next to nat.
Jacob: No Nat she passed away 2 days after the attack on your house. She apparated to the pack house Rafael saw her and took her to the pack doctor the curses she received were fatal. I am sorry.
Nat: I still had hoped she was out there, was her burial like she wanted?
Jacob: Yes, She is in a better place now
Nat holds his arm.
Jacob: Look at you marking territory already
Nat: Ha you wish! And that happened a long time ago now let it go!(smirks at Jacob)
Jacob: Not that long ago(smirks back)
Nat: Come one on let's sit down.
Molly was happy that she was talking again, no one said anything. Dumbledore continued with the meeting.
Dumbledore: Well Mr. Mccall I am certain that Sirius will let you stay here. Right Sirius?
Sirius: What?
Dumbledore: Can Mr. Mccall stay here?
Nat: professor sorry to interrupt Jake can stay with me in my flat i have a spare room
Jacob: Are you sure Tasha I don't want to impose
Nat: Yes am certain now come i want you to meet my friends and family
Sirius: well i won't be needed then i am gonna go and steal some of mooney's chocolate stash
Sirius was eating chocolate when he noticed Remus glaring at jacob. If looks could kill the kid would be dead by now.
Sirius: What has your panties in a twist oh great remus.
Remus: who is that guy look at him being all handsy with Talia
Sirius: Look at you playing the jealous boyfriend.
Remus; now is not the time for your shit Pads
Sirius: You left her remember now suck it up she has a right to move on.
Nat introduced Jacob when she felt someone's stare, she turned around,it was remus. She can see that Sirius was pushing his buttons. She turned her attention back to group
Harry: So how do you know each other?
Jacob: Her Aunt and my mom were great friends.
Ginny: Did you guys ever date?
Nat: Ginny!
Jacob: We in fact did.
Ginny: why did you guys broke up
Nat: We are wolves ginny.
Ginny: Ohh so that means you guys have soulmates
Jacob: Exactly. Us wolfs can date but nothing to serious, at some point in our lives we have to start looking for out other half
Nat: it was nice and all but it was bound to end.
Ginny: Aww having to know someone is out there made just for you is sweet.
Jacob: Yes it is, some wolves don't wait for their mate and they bond with other people, but some of us rather wait for that special someone. Have you found your destined mate nat?
At this nat freezes and a tear escapes her. Jacob notices and leans in to wipe the tear away.Every one sees the exchange between the two no one says a word.
Remus seething how dare he touch what was his.Moony wanted out and tear him apart but he no longer had a right to her.
It was late and most of the order had left, the only ones left were the young ones and of course Sirius and remus. Jacob was still there holding Nat's hand when suddenly Ginny said that they should play some music. Jacob agrees and starts playing some upbeat songs. He tells Ginny that she should hear Nat sing when suddenly he grabs her and plays a song that they used to sing when they were together. It was their song.

Ginny was so curious about their relationship and wanted to know more.How was it that you guys started to date? She asked
I had seen her around the pack house when her aunt visited. She was 7 and I was 11. Nat : I love you too McCall I still remember the times we sneaked out the day we got caught was funny.
Jacob: we went bungee jumping her aunt and my parents thought we were jumping to our deaths they didn't notice we had the gear for bungee jumping remember what they said
Nat: of course "stop acting like we live in the medieval times and step away from the bridge"they all had their wand drawn ready to save us. Then Rafael showed up and said 'why are you all look you got a stick up your ass they just bungee jumping their not Romeo and Julieting we are just having fun'
Jacob: they kept a closer eye on us after that then her bday arrived and well here we are best friends.
Ginny: that is so sweet you guys remained friends and don't make it awkward.
They listened to a couple more songs.Jacob noticed that Nat was falling asleep and whispered in her ear that he was ready to go. Nat said bye to everyone except Remus and left holding Jacobs hand.

Jacob: Who was it?
Nat: Who was What?
Jacob; The idiot that rejected you. Look Nat am not stupid I mean, you look like a walking corpse.
Nat broke down crying and explained everything to jake. All Jacob could do was comfort his friend. He always thought she would be his mate but when there was no pull he knew there was only one way to keep her in his life, friendship.
Grimmauld place-
Remus was not coping well; he needed her.
Sirius: Hey Moony why the brooding face?
Remus: Not now padfoot
Sirius: Jacob and her looked pretty cozy
Sirius wanted to push remus in coming to his senses
Sirius: Looks like you have some competition.
Remus looks at Sirius and snarls.
Remus: She is mine!!
Sirius : she was yours you broke up with her remember? look Remus you better win her back that jacob boy may be her friend now but they do have history according to ginny they dated before. I wouldn't put it past him to win her over. She is my niece and if you make her happy I will help you, but if you lose her to the James Dean looking boy then you will have to live with your regret.
It was a couple days before Christmas.Jacob and Nat Fell into a routine. Little by little Nat was healing; she still couldn't feel her wolf and her veela was silent. Thank god she had her wolf if she were to have only her veela she would have died the moment Remus dumped her.She still felt him if she focused she can feel how he still continued on with Tonks which drove her on those nights to watch the notebook with her favorite ice cream until she passed out.
How can someone that claims to love you hurt you so much? Nat continued to live her life as before they were just acquaintances.
