Today was a special day. Bill and Fleur were finally getting married. Everyone was in attendance except Kingsley after Moody's death he has been spending most of his time at the ministry. So Nat was attending alone. It was a simple wedding full of family and friends. She was talking to Tonks and Jacob, they revealed they are expecting and would like her to be the baby's godmother, she was happy with the news and accepted.
Everyone was dancing or talking with friends,Nat noticed Remus. He looked handsome. She still loves him after all this time her feelings were strong, even if there was no bond it was easy to fall for Remus he was gentle,sweet and loyal. That day at her flat it hurt her to lie to him, she was just so angry. Her wolf and veela were a no show. It was almost like they were in a deep slumber. Gods she missed him, his scent the way he would smile to her and final his touch,could she really move on the answer was no he was her everything to her she gave him her heart and the moment he left, he took it with him.
Remus could see Nat sitting with Ron and Harry,Hermione was dancing with Viktor. Molly went up to her grabbed her hand leading her to the dance floor uhm Molly where are we going?she asked
Molly: Charlie volunteers for a dance.
Nat: Mrs. Weasley I am fine Kingsley should arrive soon.
Molly: I will not take no for an answer and besides he is already at the dance floor now go on.
Charlie: Sorry about her, she was so excited to introduce you, I got curious. She talks about you a lot. You are like a 2nd daughter to her. Thank you for what you did for my big brother.
Nat: you're welcome and to be honest Molly is like a 2nd mom. She is there when I need her.
Charlie: I also have this for you (hand over a letter)Kingsley told me to give it to you
Nat: thanks
Their dance finishes and they go their separate ways
Nat walks out the tent for some privacy and reads Kingsleys letter

I would have liked to do this in person,but something tells me I won't see you for some time.I have noticed that even though you care about me your feelings towards me are only friendly and nothing more. You love Remus I can see it when you look at him I have no place in your heart for he has all your love and affection, it is best for us to remain as we were friends I will be there if you ever need me hopefully he can get his head unstuck from his ass and finally gives himself the chance to be loved by you again he was happier and better with you. Nat reread the letter and let's the tears fall she didn't deserve him he was to good for her, but he was right it was for the best to end their relationship it had no future she walked back to the party when Charlie asked for a second dance
Sirius: well they hit it off that's nice
Remus: I don't want to know padfoot
Sirius: I didn't mean it in a bad way she is friendly and outgoing that's all

Back to N&C
Charlie: heard about you and Remus.
Nat: Who snitched?!
Charlie laughs and says that the twins tend to gossip like old hags.
They both laugh
Nat: did they mention that he tossed me away like an old model broom?
Charlie: Well I wouldn't be so sure because according to Harry and Ron he has come to the burrow a lot, well every time mom mentions how you and Kingsley make a very good couple and how well you suit one another he loses is cool. Like right now I can see how he wants to chew my head off for dancing with you.
Nat:he is very confusing you know he—well— I just .. am afraid of being hurt again. I know that another rejection and I won't make it.
Charlie was stunned working with dragons helped understand what she was going through and he felt for her.
Charlie: he is coming
She was about to reply when she heard him. May I cut in. His voice was raspy; her reply was a small nod.
What do you want Remus said Nat before Remus could reply Charlie cut in and said to Remus don't do or say anything stupid and left.
Nat noticed they were the center of attention and left outside. Well that was embarrassing, she thought.
Inside the tent
Sirius: Well that went well I think?
Remus: not now padfoot. Moony:(You have no right to feel that way. you gave her up remember all because you are afraid)
Sirius was intently watching him when he noticed his eye ms change color(great moony joined the convo)
Remus then turns towards Sirius, he was about to ask when he got cut off by Moony,not a word padfoot, not one word.
She wanted to scream why he made it difficult to move on. Will he be her ghost forever?She needed time away but for now she had to wait; they all had a great evil maniac to kill. Unknown to her Remus was having similar thoughts
Sirius was excitedly talking to Harry. (He was able to join the Weasley wedding thanks to Nat. She asked Rafe for some hair, she explained the reason she needed it and quickly sent a couple strands her way. Thank you Rafe) he noticed that Harry was having the same troubles as Remus, these two seriously need to either get their girl or let them go well at least Remus.Harry still had a chance with Ginny.
Sirius: Merlin's beard! What has gotten into the two of you acting like lovestruck teenagers? I can expect this from Harry, but you Remus? Get a grip and pull your head out of your arse. You did this yourself,
Remus: why don't you owl Kingsley to come and comfort her,you seem to enjoy rubbing their relationship to my face.
Sirius:That's rich coming from you Moony. Don't think I didn't see you taking up my dear cousin's offer or did you forget how not even the day had ended when you jumped into bed with her.
Nat was by the lake. It was a half moon tonight and it illuminated the lake beautifully.
Back to S&R
Remus: it was a mistake
Harry was trying to hold them back,especially Remus. He seemed to be making another scene.
Nat was walking back inside when a patronus arrived morphing into a lynx; it was a message from Kingsley.
The Ministry has fallen.
The Minister of Magic is dead.
They are coming.
They are coming.
They are coming.
They're coming!
Nat: shit where was Harry
Everyone was frantic. Some- where fighting and others disapparate.
Then, she spots him trying to get to Ginny.Remus grabs him and tells him to go. He wasn't listening until she arrived.
Nat:Harry! Go!Go! She will be ok I promise
Harry grabs onto Hermione and Ron,and they disapparate.
Sirius lost Moony and Snow(nat) in the crowd of people he knew Harry left, Snow sent him off.Moony was close to her and now they are both lost.
Nat was frantically looking for Remus; he was right next to her. Death eaters were going for the kill,she ran outside looking for Sirius and Remus she spotted them they were sending and dodging silent spells when out of nowhere a death eater steps in her way, she quickly lifts her dress mid thigh to get her wand and quickly disarms her opponent. Remus grabs Sirius and runs towards Nat,they grab her quickly and Remus disapparates them.
She was about to fight off the offender when she smelt him and relaxed.
They landed not so gracefully, she heard Remus getting some wind knocked out of him and muffled a simple ow. Nat didn't want to move, then she heard snuffles.
Sirius: damn Moony am surprised you managed to pass your apparating test, where are we though?
She was about to stand when she noticed Remus' hands tightly gripping her waist, he then breathed down her neck where the mating mark should have been. Her breath hitched and let out a small moan.
Sirius: hey none of that we have to keep moving, Remus where are we?
Nat stood up quickly and muttered a sorry putting as much distance as she could.
Remus was smirking,he still had an effect on her.He wondered if her and shacklebolt had been intimate?
Nat: So we are in the forest uncle snuffles(She looks around).
Remus:It was the only place I could think of. We should set up camp. I will look for dry wood to start a fire.
Nat: well you are both lucky I am here and resourceful.She shows them that the wallet she was carrying was not a wallet but a bag.
Sirius;How is a wallet bag suppose to help us?
Nat: ugh it is a beaded bag with an undetectable extension charm. Hermione and I had to prepare. She carries one too. Here help me. I have clothes for the 3 of us. I carry food,snacks,books,potions,a medical kit,blankets,some money,my cell phone and a tent now, help me set up camp.
Sirius and Remus just starred speechless.
Nat: Stop staring and move. I can't do everything myself.(Mutters: Men shaking her head)
Remus offers a small smile which gets ignored by Nat.
