Part 9: Magical Blood

Nat returned to school and kept an eye on Harry. She joined the DA and helped Harry with the members. The twins and her got along great. She even helped them with some products for their store. She knew they would make it big. Nat kept bouncing from her flat that she got and school. Her and Remus were going strong. Time was moving on, school was almost over. She was taking her newts and Harry his owls when they heard a commotion outside the classroom. It was Fred and George making their grand exit. Take that Umbridge!. Everyone in the school was outside or by the balconies watching. Everyone was so caught up in cheering for the twins that nobody noticed Harry dropping to the floor. Nat went running towards him and asked what was wrong.
Harry: Sirius.
Hermione: Harry, are you sure?
Harry: I saw it. It's just like with Mr. Weasley.It's the door I've been dreaming about.I couldn't remember where I'd seen it before.
Nat: Harry sometimes the enemy likes to trick you into what he wants.
Hermione: Harry, please, just listen.What if Voldemort meant for you to see this?What if he's only hurting Sirius because he's trying to get to you?
Harry: What if he is? I'm supposed to just let him die? Hermione, he's the only family I've got left. Nat?
Nat: What do we do?
Harry:We'll have to use the Floo Network.
Hermione: Umbridge has the chimneys under surveillance.
Harry:Not all of them.Alohomora.
The moment they arrived at Umbridge office all hell breaks loose. Which ended in Umbridge being taken by centaurs. Harry kept on arguing that they should stay here but no one was having it and Luna ended up helping with transportation.
They all arrived at the department of mysteries. Harry found the prophecy. Everyone was silent listening.when it finished Hermione spoke up and they all turned around Death eaters have arrived. They all started to run, they went in through a door and fell until they stopped thank god. Harry asked what was in the archway. No one knew, to some it looked empty but to Luna, Harry and Nat they could see a veil. The death eaters found them. This time Nat did not hold back it was kill or be killed and she was of age so the trace did not apply to her.  Out of nowhere the order arrived. She heard Sirius. Wtf was he doing here, was he trying to get caught.
Sirius:Get away from my godson. He punches Lucius and turns towards Harry.
Sirius: Now, listen to me. Take the others and get out of here.
Harry:What? No, I'm staying with you
Nat: Harry you have to go. I will make sure he is ok and gets home. He is my family too.
Sirius and Nat were back to back and Harry was fighting next to Sirius. Sirius knocked out Lucius Good, which left him open. Nat was still covering his back when suddenly she heard bellatrix.
Bellatrix: Avada Kedavra.
Nat feels their bond fading. She hears Harry crying and Remus holding on to him. Harry escapes Remus' hold and goes running towards Bellatrix. Remus leaves her there, he doesn't bother to hold her or even look at her. Did he forget he was her uncle not just by bond but by blood too. He sees him walk towards the kids and escortes them to where Harry and professor Dumbledore are.
Nat could still feel the bond from the pack Sirius was fading so she still had time to save him. What she was about to do could land her in Azkaban and her wand snapped, but she had to do it she had the magic to save him Nat cut her hand she could hear the voice in veil saying to her that if she wanted Sirius she would have to sacrifice a few drops of her blood. She knew her blood was magic; it could save lives and heal the injured. But right now she was going to use it for a sacrifice. It was now or never.
Nat: (time to use your big brain Nat.)
Spell to open the veil to the other side-Phasmatos Siprum, Emnis Abortum, Fasila Quisa Exilum San
Nat drew some runes on the floor of the veil, conjured a cup and added her blood. The moment she fed the veil her blood, it opened and Sirius came out looking around. Sirius had no words at the moment.
Nat: spell to close the veil- Phasmatos Tribum, Melan Veras, Et Vasa Quisa, Exu Quisa
Back to Harry
Harry: Remus where is Nat?
At the question everyone was looking around Kingsley left with Hermione. She was gravely injured, Tonks decided to leave with Kingsley. Everyone else was looking around for her. Remus did not answer. Harry looked at Remus. Harry: You left her back there. We just lost Sirius. Harry turned and did not ask again and pushed Remus away; he told Neville to go back where the veil was that maybe she was there after all she lost Sirius too. 
In the veil room
Sirius saw what she did was old magic. But how? He didn't finish his thoughts. Nat had fainted.Sirius quickly picked her up, got rid of the evidence and port keyed home.by the time Neville arrived there was no sign of Nat. He went back to where everyone was with no answer to give. 
The kids arrived back at Hogwarts where they were examined by madam pomfrey. Hermione was on lots of potions due to Dolohov's curse. Good thing Hermione silenced him or she would not be here at all. Back at headquarters Sirius was losing his mind. Nat has not woken up and Remus was nowhere to be found.he decided to stay with his niece in her room. Thanks to her he was here, he had died but she saved him. Remus arrived late at headquarters he was buzzed he lost his best friend. He didn't even know if he had a girlfriend, he treated Nat like she was not there. He was sad, angry and hurt but that was no reason to ignore her. She looked so hurt. Sirius was her uncle and is grieving too and instead of finding comfort in each other he left her.Some boyfriend he was if she dumped him he wouldn't blame her.
Nat's room-
Nat woke up with a gasp. She did it. She was so happy that he was here with her. She was about to get up when she saw Sirius laying down next to her. Sirius heard her wake up and turned around to face her. They both broke down crying and hugged.
Remus heard a small commotion coming from Nat's room when he opened the door. The sight that greeted him made him fall to his knees; his best mate was alive, but how?  It looks like that is now the question know, how did Sirius Black Survive.
Sirius: It is ok I am here, and am not leaving you and Harry ever again. Artemis Natalia Black how did you do that spell? It takes a lot of power and well I don't want to offend you love but you haven't finished school. What have you been reading?

Sirius was asking questions on the spell, when Remus barged in. His face said it all; he was surprised that he fell to his knees. Natalia waved to him to come sit in her bed. She had to explain Sirius' return.
Nat: come Remus
Remus: You are not mad at me? You know for leaving
Nat: you were in shock and hurt, you thought Padfoot died.For a moment in some way he was. I don't hold it against you. Your reaction was normal. We all react differently and look at Harry he took off after Bellatrix.
Remus moved closer towards her and kissed her lightly on the lips.
Remus: Thank you for understating that was still not the right way for me to grieve you're my mate and I should be there for you the same way you are there for me.
Sirius was listening to the conversation and what he was hearing was making him angry at Remus,he will talk to him about hurting his niece.
Sirius: You both know I'm still here right?
Remus and Nat answer at the same time: Sorry
Nat: Ok back to the first question I know you both want to know how I got you out of the veil. Aunt Bonnie has a grimoire; it has lots of spells of old magic. She passed those on to me when I started to have magical outbursts. They were getting more out of hand after my parents' death. Since I couldn't get a wand to channel and focus my magic she decided to teach me old magic. The London nor US Ministry can't track that type of power. So she whipped out the journal because that was what it started as. like her ancestors kept learning and adding more spells until it was passed down to her. Aunt Bonnie is from a long line of powerful witches. So I learned all the spells from her. She used it once if I remember correctly it was to save her boyfriend.
Sirius: A boyfriend that women need to sort out her priorities.
Nat: She was young! i think she was a junior in High School at that age not all teens think properly Uncle snuffles lets not judge. It almost cost her life. She told me that it was dangerous to perform,
Remus; Why is it dangerous?
Nat: I basically opened a portal to the other side that is what the veil is. magical creatures or known by humans as supernaturals that have unfinished business end up there in limbo.
Sirius: Are James and Lily there?
Nat: (Look down) Yes. It is the reason why Harry can still see and feel them. They have unfinished business. Their love and safety for Harry is what is keeping them there unable to move on.
Remus: So you're saying the moment you opened the portal you could have died! What were you thinking, were you even thinking, did you ever stop to think about us,about me! I love you Talia. I don't know what I would do without you.
Nat: I did but I also thought of Harry and I,  Sirius is my uncle and Harry's godfather! He is all we have left from our family.He is all I have left from my baba.(looks down with tears in her eyes)Besides have you bothered to ask Harry what living with that Aunt of his is like! He deserves so much Remus. I am surprised he is nice and gentle.. He could have turned into a bully but he is not. He cares so much Remus. He is my cousin if I can make him happy in any way I will! That includes sacrificing my  blood to bring our Uncle then so be it.
Sirius: Remus if we had the chance to bring James and Lily back would you do it Even at the cost of your own life.
Remus: Your right Sirius, I would. Talia I apologize today has been a tough one,
Nat: We all had a crazy day today.
Sirius: Nat how are you still here? I am happy that you are ok but if opening the veil is dangerous how did you manage?
Nat: It all comes down to my blood it asked for a sacrifice, My blood has wolf and veela two powerful magical beings it can heal and save people from the brink of death if they don't want to end up like me they will have to wait at least 3 days for their system to flush out my blood. The veil knew. It felt my magic and asked for blood instead I  did the runes required and said the spell to open and close it so here you are.
Sirius; Why did you faint?
Nat: I was exhausted fighting for our lives and doing old magic can take quite a lot of anyone
Sirius: Again thank you love I am going to head out to my room. Remus take care of her.
Remus: I am sorry little one I left you. You're too good for me. Are you sure you still want this?
Nat: Yes. I am sorry too. I love you. I just don't know how to explain it. I could feel in the pack bond that he was still alive. It was faint but I felt it. I couldn't leave him there. Remus, Sirius is my family and I had the knowledge to save him. I promise to talk to you before doing any type of old magic again.
Remus: I would like that. If we are to make this work we need to communicate. I love you little one. Sleep, I will be here when you wake up.
