Part 22: I yearn for you

1 year goes by and Ben has turned one. The twins had a giant party. Poor party ended up being a war zone for Www pranks. Everyone was covered in cake. Nat was laughing hard and fell to the floor bringing Kingsley down with her. Nat and Kingsley decided to try again and everything was going good, they are to be married in 1 week. They wanted to be here for the holidays. Ben loved Kingsley, he didn't call him dad. Instead he was uncle Kin, Ben couldn't pronounce Kingsley.
Remus was done traveling, He felt he was ready to go back. The pack he visited told him the same thing. He was meant to be with her, and their son was a product of that love that only they can have it run deeper than anything. Yes, Remus Lupin was ready to go back home to her.
The week had gone by and the Burrow was busy. Sirius had decided to sneak in and see Nat.
Sirius: Hey kid
Nat: uncle snuffles
Sirius: I am here to... are you sure about this? I mean he is great and all but he doesn't make you smile like him. I can see how much you try.
Nat: yes I am sure. Kingsley is what every girl would want. With time I can fully love him.
Kingsley saw when Sirius sneaked in and decided to hear the conversation. He knew Nat loved Remus but he wasn't here and the time he was there was only to hurt her.
Sirius: Come on kid I can sneak you out and no one will notice until you are far away. What if he comes back
Nat: What do you know?
Sirius: ( he was tracking Remus and had found him. He still remembers the day he found him)
Flash back
Sirius was in the forest as padfoot. He followed the lead he had gotten from the investigator. He was about to leave when he smelled him. Padfoot ran towards the scent where he was filling up a flask of water. He changed back to his human form.
Sirius: Hey there Remus.
Remus was in deep thinking when suddenly he heard Sirius. Wtf he thought.
Remus: How did you find me?
Sirius walks to him and smiles. Remus thought Sirius was about to hug him instead he punched him not once or twice no Sirius was angry and letting it all out. Remus didn't bother to defend himself; he knew he deserved it. Sirius stopped when he felt his anger towards his best friend leave a little bit and because he broke Remus nose and a couple ribs.
Remus: shit padfoot.
Sirius: You deserved more.
Remus: how is she?
Sirius: You have a beautiful son. He was born Dec 18.
Remus: Do you have any pictures?
Sirius(hands him a pic of Nat and Ben) she talks to him about you. He will grow up to love you.
Remus: what is his name( chokes on his words)
Sirius: Benjamin Wulfric Black.
Remus: ohh
Sirius: what you were expecting for her to put your last name! Remus you left her,hurt her, she was a mess.
Remus: I am researching. I will go back.
Sirius: He is 5 months old now. Don't wait too long or you will miss his 1st steps. Also he does show signs of lycanthropy, he doesn't shift by the way, you should see him when he gets angry(chuckles) he cries howls. It is the cutest thing ever. Nat was surprised because his eyes changed color too. She threw him a party.
Remus: she did! Why?
Sirius: Regulus did the same with her. She was 3 when the gene activated. She said it was something she wanted to turn into tradition. Ben had a blast with the cake. Nat wants to teach Ben that being different is good and nothing to be ashamed of. She also calls him her little wolf, he will grow up to accept himself.
Remus was speechless.
Remus: I will continue researching once I am ready I will return.
Sirius: see you one day Moony.
With that said he left .
Present time-
Nat: What do you know?
Sirius: I found him months ago, we talked, he said he would return one day.
Nat: ( laughs) and you believed him.
Sirius: Nat come on he still loves you.
Nat: And what about Ben! Nope I will not stop my happiness for a douche. Do you still want to walk me down the aisle?
Sirius: Nat, please
Nat: no end of discussion
Kingsley left back downstairs. Should they do this? He made his way to the altar and waited.
It was time the music started to play.Sirius was walking her down the aisle. She was beautiful.
Remus arrived at Grimmauld no one was there then he apparaited to Nats Flat. There was no answer, the last place to look was the Burrow. When he arrived he noticed everyone was outside. He passed the kitchen and noticed the wedding cake. Wtf he thought. Who was getting married? He went to check the name on the cake. Remus felt the air had been knocked out of him. She was getting married to shacklebolt. He had to stop her!.
The officiant was almost done when they heard
STOP!
Natalia and Kingsley turn.
Nat: wtf
Remus: Nat you can't marry him. I love you and I know that I was stupid and a coward, but I am here.
Nat:( laughs)
Kingsley: Lupin you should leave.
Nat: What are you doing here! You have no right!
Remus: please can we talk?
Nat: No!
Kingsley: Nat you still love him I know. I will do this right this time.
Nat: no, don't
Kingsley: THE WEDDING IS CANCELED EVERYONE THANK YOU YOU MAY LEAVE!
Nat: Why, I do want to marry you.
Kingsley: deep down you know that it's not meant to be. Now go and talk to him
Nat: NO! ( she walks down the Altar and passes Remus.
Remus: Wait!
She keeps walking to Ginny's room. Once there she closes and locks the door warding it.
Remus walks after her but gets there late and the door gets slammed to his face he tries to open it but it was locked and warded.
Remus: We need to talk.
Nat was changing and removing her makeup. Once done she cleans and packs her belongings. She opens the door. It makes Remus fall on his back while he was resting on the door.
She walks out and cleans up everything inside and outside the house. No one says anything, the only thing remaining is the food and cake. She is done and says bye to everyone grabs Ben and disapparates
Remus: Wtf ,she left.
Sirius: You did crash her wedding.
Twins: you also expected her to fall head over heels again and forgive you mate.
Molly: give her time she will talk to you when she is ready
How wrong they were Nat owl they all saying she left London. Remus was having breakfast with Sirius when the letter arrived.
Sirius: uhm moony you have a problem.
Remus: I do?
Sirius: She Left London
Remus: what?!
Nat was visiting her parents grave. She has not been here in a while and she starts to talk to them.
Nat: Hey Mum,baba. I need you guys so much right now. She starts to vent and once done she introduces Ben. They leave the cemetery. Nat was taking a small break before returning.
She has been gone 2 weeks and still no sign of Nat. He was about to leave for the grocery store when a pop was heard.

Nat: no no don't say that I'm a bad Mum.
Ben: chit.
Remus walks to where Nat is at.
Remus: Nat? You are back.
Nat: I needed to think, I'm not you I will not leave when things get hard or something I don't want happens.
Remus: I know.
Nat: ok uhm little wolf
Ben: mama wolf grr.
Nat: Yes baby this is dad.
Remus: Are you sure?
Nat: you don't want to meet him?
Remus: Yes, of course I do.
Ben: daba
Nat:(chuckles) so you are back why?
Remus: I am sorry I left. I was scared, I was hating myself for what I passed on to him. Sirius told me he is like you.
Nat: yes he is(says in a distant voice) for now I think, it can change with age.
Remus: I researched about us and well I learned so much. I understand everything. Moony has helped and we are now one.
Nat: That's good Remus.
Remus: I want to be in your life,his life too.
They continued to talk,nat didn't have much to say so she let her answers short.
Nat: I don't want nothing with you, I made that clear as for Ben you can see him anytime you want.
Remus: Nat...
Nat: I made it clear the day you left me. Just leave me alone ok.
Remus: I will win you back and this time I will prove to you how much I love you.
Nat(rolls her eyes) whatever wolf boy.
After their talk Remus spent all his time with Ben and sometimes Nat. Kingsley and her talked and well they are friends again. Ben and Remus are spending so much time together that he cries when it's time to go home.
Nat: You can come stay with us if you want. He won't stay here. I tried leaving him with snuffles once and well they didn't sleep at all.
Remus: you won't mind
Nat: no, come on.
Remus is happy that she let him stay at her house.
Remus: you are no longer staying at your flat?
Nat: I moved a month ago. Ben needs space to be a kid and a flat is too small.
That was all she said, Nat kept her distance with him, it was driving him mad. On the inside Nat was missing him, but she better be safe than getting her feelings crushed again.
