Laying back on the grass, I thought, well that's that. We were full and talking a bit here and there and speaking the truth, I'm contended. I never felt this contended in a while since my brothers are suffocating. After a bit, a few teachers came to take the roll call, each for their own class since a few classes were here.
I answered my name and so did the other students. After ensuring that no one was unaccounted for, the teachers left towards a far corner with a few tents set up. It looks like that area can really overlook all of the other tents, even ours. Maybe it was made in such a way for situations like these to make it easier to observe everyone.
About an hour after, I was disturbed from my phone by my brother telling us to follow him. Confused, we followed until I noticed that all the other students were also moving in the same direction. Is the trip over so soon? Before I had anymore time to sulk, a teacher announced that we will leave to start the tour in half an hour. Everyone scattered to get whatever they will need and we were no different.
Shoving snacks into my bag as well as my phone, I went towards my class teacher who was calling for our class to line up orderly. I was tugged away however, by my brothers who so annoyingly stated that I will not be with my class, but with them. My explanation that the teacher will worry went on deaf ears as he said that it was taken care of. I motioned to my friends who were approaching my class to come over.
I explained the situation to them and being my best friends, they decided to not let me bore to death and accompany me with my brothers class. After an ok from our teacher, we left. The bus ride was not long, as the teachers decided to just make a close trip so we can make it back before nightfall.
The monuments in this area were nice. I was fascinated by the history behind each monument and was more than eager to listen to the teacher explaining it. I heard someone call me and turned to see a guy with black hair. He must be from my brother's class. He came up to us and asked for my number with a small smirk playing on his lips. I didn't know how to respond and it didn't seem like my friends wanted to save me from this mess. They just stood there smiling. I guess the guy was cute, but he wasn't someone I would ever dream of liking. How do they say it? Oh yea, he wasn't my type.
I saw James a distance away, and I saw him turn in my direction. He didn't see me looking, and the guy didn't see him either since his back was facing him. I knew what was about to happen, well maybe not. But I knew James would be pissed so a smirk crept upon my face also. His smirk deepened and I think maybe he thought I had accepted to give him my number, but instead, I said, " you should go if you wish to live."
He didn't seem to like that answer, and angrily said " What can you do me huh?" while stretching out his hand to touch my face. I moved back the same time another hand entered my line of vision. I had a feeling I knew what was coming and so did my friends. As if our movements were synchronized, we took a few steps back simultaneously. About the same time a punch was thrown on the guys face, immediately breaking his nose. Was James this strong? I guess he was not fit for a waste of time. He had the guy on the ground in just two moves, even though he was fighting back. How did he know just the right places to hit? and I'm not talking about there.
Justin had to separate him before we all got into trouble. I doubt they would care, the never usually did. I wonder why they don't want to be sent away from this trip. The boy was sent back to the campsite for the on site nurse. No one mentioned anything, and even the boy didn't snitch as expected. They were all scared of my brothers for reasons unknown to me. Maybe they just look and act intimidating.
The night was peaceful, eating and talking. My brothers disappeared to the other side of the campsite and would glance at us every few minutes until I got tired of it and we went into the tent, locked it and talked stories. This was how we fell asleep the first night.
