Once Caro excused herself from the conversation her and her friends are having with Willa, Summer and Ethan, she opens her phone. Scrolling through Instagram, she tuned out the crowd around her.
As much as she enjoyed hanging out with her friends and the people next to them in the line, she just wanted to still have time to herself. She's always been like that, and as much as Caro loved being in the queue and making friends, it could all become overwhelming. They had all day to talk.
Soon after, Instagram becomes boring, and she knows she'll need to join some sort or conversation to keep her busy.
When she looks up towards to the group of boys, and Calum quickly notices, looking over at her. There's some sort of granola bar hanging from his mouth as he attempts to smile at her.
Caro giggles, "You good?"
He nods. "Ashton said it's snack time, so..." Calum trails off, as he gestures to the food that's now in his hand.
"Oh, love that. Scheduling your snack time? Amazing."
Calum chuckles, "I know. It's helpful though. I don't have to think."
"Is that what you guys do every time you queue?" Caro asks, trying to hold back a giggle as she watches Calum eat.
"It's what we do a lot of times we go out, Ashton is in charge. He likes it and he's good at it. As you could tell from our introduction, some of us need Ashton's help." Calum jokes, referring to Luke.
"You guys are so mean to Luke!" Caro criticizes.
"Thank you!" Luke exclaims.
"Don't be nice to him, stranger!" Michael tells Caro, joking around with her.
Caro shakes her head at the group, actually feeling somewhat bad for Luke and how his friends like to bully him.
"I like you, Caro!" Luke smiles, raising his hand as if he was going to give her a high-five, but she's too far away.
Caro laughs, doing the same thing.
"What the fuck is going on over there?" Teagan calls, moving away from the wall so that she can see the whole group of boys.
"Caro and I are best friends!" Luke exclaims, earning a punch from Michael.
"I wanna be part of this group of besties!" Teagan cheers, removing her sunglasses from her face and placing them atop her head.
"You're absolutely welcome to join." Luke tells her.
As Teagan speaks with the boys, Calum moves a little closer to Caro. He leans closer to her so only she hears him. "Teagan and Luke seem very similar."
Caro chuckles, "I'm also getting that vibe."
"Does Luke also go a little too crazy and make other people stare at them with their dancing during the show?" She asks, glancing over at Luke.
"Oh, absolutely. He's so long and lanky, he can't control his limbs. He looks wild."
"So those two can just... go off to the side and be wild together?" Caro suggests, looking over at Teagan who seems to be having a great time befriending the boys.
"Oh, for sure. If I don't have to watch over him and she can, it'll be great for me." Calum tells her, the two joking around with each other.
"But you don't stand still and be awkward the whole show, do you?" Caro inquires, trying to figure out what type of person he is.
"No! I'm not boring!" He exclaims, offended she would even think that.
"So you'll dance with us?" Caro grins, happily looking up at him.
"Yeah, I'll definitely dance with you."
Caro sheepishly smiles, suddenly feeling shy. A small giggle passes her lips, "Sounds like a plan."
