Caro and Teagan were currently gossiping about people they went to high school with, as they just saw an embarrassing Instagram post by a girl who hated them back then.
"I mean, good for her, I guess? She seems happy." Teagan says, but still with a grossed out look on her face.
"What are you two talking about?" Deana asks, sitting down with the girls again. She just went on a walk around the block to stretch out. She usually does anytime they queue, she couldn't handle sitting here in a lineup all day.
"Being kinda bullies to people who bullied us." Teagan replies, making Deana shake her head at her best friends.
"We're being nice, kind of!" Caro says, trying to defend the pairs actions.
Deana shrugs, "I'm not judging."
"Can we talk?" Caro says, the volume of her voice significantly lower than before.
Both the girls give her a questioning look as she moves closer to them.
"So, uh, right before Teags called me out of my conversation with Calum a little bit ago, he called me pretty, passionate, and cool. What am I supposed to make of that? It's just a friendly thing, right?"
"You're so fucking dumb sometimes, Caro." Deana deadpans.
Teagan immediately follows her statement, "Did you forget our conversation earlier about how you two are hardcore flirting with each other?"
Caro groans, rolling her eyes at her friends.
"Why are you so mad? He's so hot and seems like he's interested in you. What's the issue?" Deana interrogates.
"There isn't an issue. I don't want to become infatuated with a dude from the queue that I'm never going to see again." Caro responds.
"Caro, you know you could see him again, right? You literally follow each other on Instagram already. I'm sure before the show starts you'll have his number." Teagan tells her, reaching out and grabbing her hand. "Be careful obviously, we just met them a few hours ago."
A small laugh passes Caro's lips, "Truly, we have nothing to worry about with him. I wish you could hear some of the things he's said."
"I do too, simply because I'm nosy and want to know what the fuck you guys are talking about." Teagan replies.
"Can you at least admit that you think he's cute?" Deana asks, Teagan also asking right after. The pair keep their voices down, as they have been the whole conversation.
Caro quickly turns to look at Calum and smiles, before turning back to her friends. "I mean, yeah."
"Uh, what did you say when he said all that to you?" Teagan asks, going back to the beginning of the conversation.
"I said thanks, that's sweet. Told him that he's really thoughtful."
"So you didn't say 'let's fuck' or something? What's wrong with you?"
"Teagan, stop! You guys don't know the context so you don't get why he was saying it. He's just... I like talking to him."
"Aw, do you already have a little crush?" Dee teases, smirking at Caro.
"No! Oh my god, you guys are annoying."
"We love you!" Teagan giggles, wrapping her arms around her best friend.
Caro struggles to get out of Teagan's tight grasp, finally shoving her off. "I'm gonna go talk to him now."
The two girls laugh as Caro moves away from them and closer to Calum. She rolls her eyes, shaking her head at the two. When she looks up, she sees Calum smiling at her, but seeming confused as to why she's upset.
"Oh, hi." Caro speaks, her face lighting up when she sees him.
"You good?"
"Yeah, of course. My friends are just being stupid, you know?" Caro tells him, trying to play it off.
"Oh, trust me. I know."
