The band finishes another song and the audience goes wild.
As Caro's song begins to play, she takes a step away from Calum. Teagan and Deana both immediately turn to her to see her expression change. Caro's face falls, her gaze shifting to the floor.
Teagan reaches out to grab her hand and squeezes gently.
Caro looks up, and immediately finds herself in Teagan's arms. She just wanted to be comforted by somebody that was there for it all. The person that was always there for her.
Tears pool in Caro's eyes as the song plays, Teagan rocking her in her arms. Caro does everything to not think of anything else except for how grateful she is for Deana and Teagan. Teagan holds her tight, running her hand repeatedly through Caro's hair.
"I love you, Caro. You're my best friend." Teagan says in what would be considered a whisper in this loud crowd.
Caro felt stupid, being this emotional right now. Yeah, she's cried at shows before, but nothing ever felt like this. Before the song is over, she's pulling out of Teagan's grasp, hastily wiping her eyes.
"Are you okay?" Teagan asks, looking at her with worry across her face.
Caro nods, looking between Teagan and the lead singer up on stage. She then looks back to see Calum, watching her intently, not the show, as if he were waiting for her throughout the whole song to confirm she's okay.
Nervously Calum holds his arms out to her, as best as he can in the crowd, offering support. Caro couldn't help but smile and she gives him a side hug, her arm snaking around his waist, his doing the same to her.
However, they don't move from their spots. Caro stays beside Calum, pressed up against him. She rests her head against his arm, a small smile forming on her lips.
The whole moment with Calum completely pulled her attention away from the song, which just ended.
She was glad that Calum could distract her, even if it was only for the last twenty seconds of the song. Caro just started up at him just wondering how he's managed to do this to her. This man was a stranger hours ago.
"I'm glad you're here, Caro." Calum tells her, his lips brushing her ear as he speaks. He wanted to make sure nobody else heard him. Just her.
She doesn't reply, she just grabs his hand and squeezes tightly.
