Cameron hid in the closet as the door to the room burst open, dropping the dusting cloth and covering her mouth to silence her breath as she heard the Prince's fake laughter followed by the sounds of another person talking.
She couldn't help her curiosity as she peaked through the gap of the large wardrobe, wondering who he was talking to and the what the giggles were about.
She almost gasped as she saw him caress the cheek of the woman that he led over to the bed- one of the palace maids who was surprised when he requested her to his chambers but giddy with delight when she caught onto his reason why.
"Sit" he commanded with a wink, Cameron's eyes widened when she saw him take off his belt and had to place her hand over her mouth to hide the gasp that came out when she realised what was happening.
"Of course your excellence" the woman, barely older than Cameron, giggled.
She watched in fear as he paused, noticing him glancing over his shoulder towards the wardrobe and spot the dusting cloth on the floor outside of it- she didn't however notice his smirk at it as he turned back to the woman sat waiting hungrily on the bed, walking over to her and gripping her hair as he pushed her down onto the bed.
Cameron closed her eyes tightly and tried to drown out the noises that went on and grew.
She dug her finger nails into her hands to try to distract herself with any sort of pain to stop the fake noises the woman was producing to please him- and his disinterested mumbled groans.
"Open your eyes" she heard him command.
"What? They are open?" The woman below him said, wiping her mouth as he turned his attention away from her to the closet.
"Not you, her."
Cameron froze, spotting his smirk through the cracks as he pushed the woman away from him- finished with her, bored of her.
"I'm done with you, leave" he sat on the bed, his cocky gaze still on the wardrobe as he lit a cigar.
"W-what? I didn't-" The woman stammered with confusion.
"I said leave" he snapped his head to her, his tone unbothered and dismissive, "or would you like me to tell your father what his whore of a daughter did to rise above his station?"
The woman froze before pulling up her dress, a look of distress and embarrassment on her red face as she rushed out of the room.
Cameron held her breath, praying he hadn't notice her, praying his cocky glance in her direction was just an accident somehow- she should have known better than to doubt that everything he did wasn't purposely planned to hurt her somehow.
"You can come out now dear" his voice danced around the room and make her shiver as he tilted his head towards her in the wardrobe.
"I know you're in there- don't be shy."
Cameron was frozen, paralysed with fear as she watched him smirk- beckoning her out.
She took a breath, squared off her shoulders and stumbled forward awkwardly out of the wardrobe.
"Did you enjoy the show?" He teased.
"Y-you knew I was there?"
"Why do you think I brought her in here in the first place?" He raised an eyebrow, she shook her head with disgust and went to leave.
"And where do you think you're going?"
"To finish my chores" she answered simply but he caught her wrist and twisted her to him, she landed with her hands on his chest close to his body as he stared down at her with a smirk.
