Special - Shoyo's Birthday!

Shoyo was getting ready for his day as usual. He woke up early and got on his bike to go to school. It was his birthday today. He was feeling good because something about today was going to be great, he told himself.

He had spoken too soon. It seemed that no one knew his birthday. He remembered telling Shigatsu but, he didn't get a text from her throughout the day or received anything. So he walked the school halls quite gloomily. "Hinata, are you okay?" asked Sawamura as he passed by the orang fluff. "huh? Oh yeah, I'm good," he replied with a small smile. Sawamura thought it was suspicious but, he let it slide.

It was time for practice. Shoyo was trying to find Tobio, who he had always gone with when they went to the gym. He couldn't find Tobio so, he just gloomily walks to the gym by himself. He heard some clattering but, he thought it was weird that there were no shoe-squeaking or the sound of volleyballs hitting the floor wasn't present either. So he entered the gym, near the volleyball net was a medium-sized table with a cake and some presents. "Happy Birthday HINATA!!" shouted his teammates, except for Kei, who was forced to wear a party hat by Tadashi. This made Shoyo smile, and he smiled brighter when he saw Shigatsu holding a small banner that says, 'Happy Birthday Sho-kun!'. He quickly changed his shoes to volleyball shoes so he could enter the gym."WOAH! The cake is a volleyball!!" He exclaimed, jumping excitedly. "You like it? Tsukki and I got it from his favorite cake store," Tadashi asked. "Yeah! Thanks so much!" He said with a big smile.

Everyone was given a slice of cake, and they were now sitting on the gym floor. "I honestly thought you guys didn't about my birthday," Shoyo admitted, then took a bite of the cake. "We didn't actually know," Ryuunoske honestly said, earning a whack to the head from Koshi. "Don't tell him that, you idiot!" Shoyo then tilts his head to the side and asks, "How'd you guys know then?" "Hinode texted Kageyama, asking if you had any plans for your birthday today," Shoyo's eyes widened, and he slowly nodded in understanding.

After the small celebration, the boys still had practice. So Eichi and Shigatsu watched them practice for a few hours because Shigatsu had invited Shoyo to go to an arcade.

After practice, even though Tobio was tired, he still insisted on going with Shoyo, Eichi, and Shigatsu.

So the quartet went to a nearby arcade. Shigatsu immediately went and bought tokens. There were quite a few people since it was a weekday.

The girls went and played some air hockey. The boys tried the driving simulator, and they even raced. Tobio let Shoyo win, of course. Then the quartet went to the basketball hoops. Then to the bumper cars.

"AAAAA EICHII!!" Shigatsu shouts as Eichi bumped her car harshly. "Sorry, not sorry!" Eichi shouted back. As Eichi turns, she bumped into Tobio, who jolts at the sudden impact. "Oh! Sorry Kags!" She yelled. "I'm okay!" Tobio shouts, bumping Eichi's car in revenge.

Then after a few more other games, they finally decide to go to the claw machines. "That's cute!" Eichi points to a small brown stuffed puppy in one of the machines. "That one too!" Shigatsu says, pointing to a big white bear in one of the larger machines.

Shigatsu tries to win the big white bear, with a little bit of mischief help from Shoyo, who may or may not have stuck his hand into the machine, she was able to get it.

Eichi also tries to win the stuffed puppy but, she was just out of luck today. After many tries, fortunately, when it was Tobio's turn, he managed to get lucky, and he won the puppy after multiple attempts.

Then the quartet goes for some cotton candy. Shigatsu takes a selfie and posts it on her social media, tagging her three friends.
