Kanae Eichi's POV

We all entered the gym. Me, Shi-chan, Iwa-chan, and Hanamaki-san.

Oika-chan was already warming up. I took our food from Hanamaki-san because he said he'd carry them for us.

"Arigato Hanamaki-san,"
"Arigato Hanamaki-san", both Shi-chan and I thanked him.

"You don't have to be so formal. The whole team knows both of you. You can call us anything you both like," Hanamaki-san said which made my heart melt, I could see Shi-chan smile as well.

"Am I right boys?!" He shouted

"Absolutely!"
"Of course!"
"Definitely!"
And there were many, but all of them agreed.

"Understood Hanamaki-san," said Shi-chan, but she quickly covered her mouth.

"I meant... Makki-san...?" She continued,

"Much better!" Makki-san said with a smile and then went to go stretch.

We were heading to our usual spot inside the gym, upstairs. When Matsukawa-san bumped into Shi-chan.

"Oh Sorry!" Said Matsukawa-san said

"No, no I'm sorry, Matsukawa-san I wasn't looking where I was going," said Shi-chan, then she realized her mistake again

She quickly said, "I-I mean, Tsukka-san?" She said, probably making one up.

Matsukawa-san, or rather Mattsun, as Oika-chan called him, quickly smiled

"Kawaii," he muttered enough for Shi-chan and me to hear. Mattsun then waved goodbye and went back to practice.

Shi-chan was flushed red. "Ohohoho, someone's a ToMaTo!"

"N-nani? S-shut your damn mouth Eichi"

"WhatEVER YoU saY! Tomato!" She hit me a couple of times.

"Shuuutt uuuppp!" She whisper-shouted

I ignored her and went to the second floor of the gym and we sat on the floor as usual. We also ate our food while watching them play.

"Ne Shi-chan, I heard about a new class, it's like a child-growth or development whatever, do you wanna take it?"

She looked at me while her face was stuffed with the riceball she was eating. She covered her mouth and chewed quickly then swallowed.

"huh? why should we take it? we've already got so much on our hands from that hag of an English teacher,"

"There's this like baby they give you each month until the year ends to like see if you can take care of it and if you actually learn from the class," I replied she was shocked and bit a small bite of her riceball and said, "what-? You wanna take care of a baby? I- I'm not ready for a pooping crying disaster!"

I shook my head violently, laughed, and said, "No! It won't be a real baby, it's like a simulator robot kind of baby! HAHAHAHA", she then made an o with her mouth and instantly replied, "Well sure! I don't mind being mommies together I already have a real baby at home anyways!"

"Silly you, Luna isn't a baby!", Shi-chan looked at me with fake shock and disgust then lightly slapped me "*gasp* how dare you say that about my Luna!" she exclaimed and we both laughed.

"Okay, when do we start?" she asked. "I think the materials for the class would be ready like next month or earlier".

"Oh cool! Remind me when we should sign up for the class" she stated.

Finishing up with the boys' practice we all walk home together.

"Tsu-chan! Kana-chan! Wait for us!" shouted Mattsun from inside the gym when we were about to leave.

Shi-chan and I looked at each other. Both of us mentally screaming how the nicknames are cute.

"PFFHAHAHAHAH WHAT DID YOU JUST CALL THEM??" teased Makki-san

"What? Is there a problem?" Mattsun snapped back. "shush you two, I want to go home in peace, or else I'll bump your heads together," Iwa-chan remarked with an annoyed face.

Shi-chan and I couldn't help but giggle at their antics.

The boys' inter-high prelims have started and they became busier than ever. Only Shi-chan and I would walk home together at times because they have to stay late. Sometimes, I go on my own because Shi-chan is also starting to get busy because she also has her competitions for her ice-skating.

"You know, I could walk home by myself," I said while looking at Shi-chan who had her earphones plugged in as she was listening to her dance music I assumed. She removed one earbud and said, "I know, but I don't feel like walking home by myself late at night so I convinced my coach to let me go home, at least she did but she made a deal out of it again."

"What'd she ask for this time?" I asked. "I have to memorize my song's beat, drops, and ups so I can easily sway to it and perfectly execute my routine," she answered. I just nodded and stayed silent so she can do her thing and memorize her song. We walked home in comfortable silence and said our goodbyes before entering our respective houses.

"Tadaima!" I shouted and walked up to my room.
