chapter 6: Truth or Dare



Wayatt, is still in his room, very soon finishing arranging all his properties, even if some aren't in their right place yet. He does not intend to get down. This day has been strange for him, the second time that he rescues a girl. The first one looked shy and quiet while the second one looked more courageous... Very courageous! "How could she imagine seducing me, I'm her elder after all." He says while wearing his shirt and wondering what a minor may do at such a fraternity party, he needs to talk to Mason cause for him it is unacceptable.

Finally, Wayatt gets down to the parlour, joining the noisy party.

Wayatt Cruz is 19 years old and a first-year at the University of York in Toronto. He is of origin in Latin America from Argentina. He leaves with great parents, but is adopted!

That's the big hole in his life, the fact he is adopted. A rich family took him from an orphanage when he was nine years old. His present mother can't have children, so he is their unique child and the next successor of his dad. But he does not want such a title, all he wants is to be a great artist. He loves painting, this is the only thing that makes him forget everything. He does not know from who he took this talent, but what he knows is that he loves handling a brush full of colours and ready to express himself without using words.

Back at the party, he tries to search for Mason, asking if someone saw him. Then remember he may be at their VIP seat, he gets there and sees Mason on a table, lying on it, with his bare chest and a shot of vodka on his stomach. Ashley gets to the shot on his stomach and with her mouth, she drinks the vodka without holding it. Mason gets up and screeches to congratulate Ashley.

Not eager about this, Wayatt calls for Mason. " Hey Wayatt,  here you are finally," Mason exclaims.

" Come, I need to talk," Wayatt says, before dragging him by the shoulder, not leaving him the time to put on his shirt. " Can I know why minors are here?"

" Minors? ...ohh you mean my sister and her friend. Come one, Wayatt! They just have 17years old, they will very soon have 18."

" And what do I give a fuck?" Wayatt says angrily. " Their place isn't here."

" Look! Amber insisted cause tomorrow will be her first day to return to school just like us, and I invited Brooke here because you know I am interested in her," Mason declares.

" That does not concern me," Wayatt says while throwing furtive regard to Brooke dancing with Mackenzie while drinking. " And if something happens to her? Do you know we may have big problems?"

" Chill out Wayatt, you are too formal this night. Nothing will happen cause it is not their first time coming to such a party. Come on guy," Mason says while putting his hand around Wayatt's shoulders. No matter his justifications, Wayatt isn't in the mood for that and removes his hand rapidly. " Let's play something else, for Wayatt to chill out," Mason shouts to the group.

Mason gets Wayatt forcefully to the table and they sit.

" Let's play, truth or dare!" Mackenzie proposes.

Everyone shouts with excitement about the idea, except Wayatt whose only feeling is to get out from here. He looks at everyone and his regards fall on Brooke also looking at him, but she looks elsewhere, nothing wanting him to know she is aware of him.

" So I'm starting," Mackenzie says. " Ummm. Fred, truth or dare?"

" Truth!" Fred answers, under the concentrated regards of the others.

" So, between the two new girls in our group today... I mean Brooke and Amber, with whom would you want to spend the whole night?" Mackenzie asks in a kidding manner.
