Early in the morning, Wayatt and Brooke get to the graveyard where Brooke's father has been buried. They get out of the car before Brooke looks around them.
"Are you okay?" Wayatt worries.
Brooke gasps highly before turning to Wayatt. "I think I'm fine!"
"Do you want me to come with you?" Wayatt proposed.
"... It's okay, let me go first and then see what it's like to be on his grave once more," Brooke tells.
Wayatt agrees before taking the bouquet they bought later, and gives it to Brooke. Slowly, she gets to his grave, searching with her eyes his name on each of them. She yet finds it and her eyes stay focused on the flowers on his grave, wondering who else continues coming here. Her mother can't do that because all that interest her is her daughter"s fate and her work. Her dad can't still do such because he is never in town for long and even if he did it, he could have told her, so who is the person?
An old man responsible of cleaning the graves is beside her, she calls for him and asks him if he knows who else is coming here.
"Ohh! I think a mixed-race woman of about 36 years old and above, is always coming on his grave and staying for a long moment, bringing the same flowers over and over. I think she really loved that man." The old man says before continuing his work and going.
Brooke turns back to the grave while smiling, knowing the woman who continues coming here, is Mado. "Yes! She loved my father very much." Brooke says to herself before bending in front of the grave while putting down the flowers on it.
" Morning Dad!" She commences. "Happy Birthday to you. I know it's been a long time, you must be mad at me for leaving you, for not coming on your grave since you went." She stops and shows a sad face."But... You lied to me... You promise you would come back to me, that you will stay with me, but you went and I–I was so lonely, everything went dark in my mind, I became another person, a very different girl. I wasn't more your princess as you used to call me, I changed to a bad person and hurt myself and others. Mado and Francis with some friends I found recently are the only ones I can't hurt, I don't know why but... They make me feel better." She stops, while the wind blows on, she closes her eyes and breathe, then opens them. " I know you are angry with that girl I yearned to be, and I'm sure you are the one who decided to put Wayatt on my way..." She turns her head and sees Wayatt along, sitting on the hood of his car, with his AirPods surely listening to music. She smiles and gets back to her conversation on the tomb. "And I thank you for that, Thank you for putting him on my path, with him I feel safe as if you were still present with me. Wait... Let me present you to him," She turns and tries to attract the attention of Wayatt since it's not evident with his AirPods overhauled to his ears. He fortunately, looks in her direction and she makes him signs to come. He removes his AirPods and ranges them in his pocket before coming closer. He then bends in front of Brooke.
" I want to present you to my beloved father. I already presented you to Mado, who is like a mother to me, so now you must know my father... Okay, dad so this is Wayatt Cruz my boyfriend and Wayatt you already know Jeremy Wild, my father."
Wayatt smirks nervously, not knowing how he may react, talking to a grave is strange for him, but he still tries to have control of his emotions. "I–I am glad to meet you, Mr.Wild. Brooke talk about you recently and referring to what she said you seemed to be a great man but also a great father to her, "Wayatt tries to remain comfortable and feel confident in his words, so he looks at Brooke with passion and starts talking " I am grateful you made Brooke, because if she weren't existing, then my world wouldn't be existing too. I would have to continue being that nonchalant guy, always wanting to be alone and painting darkness all around me. But Brooke brought colors to my life and I promise I will take care of your daughter as far as I am alive."
Brooke couldn't send out a phrase, her gaze looking attentively at Wayatt's ones, immerse into his words which provokes in her the same feeling of security and love as ever. She grins at him and kisses his forehead, like to tell him she will also be with him as far as she is alive.
They ride back home and decide to pass the rest of the day at home, doing everything they want. Brooke now knowing Wayatt loves churros, stops at the supermarket to buy some stuffs. Brooke wore Wayatt's t-shirt while Wayatt remained in trouser. They got into the kitchen and started preparing the chocolate churros. Playing like kids, bombarding their faces of cream, flour and chocolate, having a fun time together while blowing out laughter.
While the churros were getting ready in the oven, they cleaned the kitchen they spoiled some minutes ago and try to clean themselves too. The churros ready, they decided to see a horror movie while eating their churros and popcorn together with sodas.
After the movie, they stayed on the chair of the parlor, listening to Duncan Laurence music, Brooke lying on Wayatt's chest with Wayatt's earphones in their ears, enjoying the mesmerizing voice of the singer and the melody produced. What a good way of resting after a day.
After some minutes, the couple fell asleep and wakes up while listening to people's voices. It's surely their friends coming back.
"Oh no! Remind me never to go again to camping," Mackenzie complains, entering the house while scratching her arms. "Was I the only one those mosquitoes saw grrrr..." She gets up to her room after saying a fast hello to the couple.
"Excuse her, she hasn't stopped complaining since we came back to the city. How was your weekend?" Fred asks putting down his bag.
Wayatt strengthens his body and yawns before Brooke answers " Fine!"
"Alright, I think I will go and call my love. Goodnight to you." Fred says before getting upstairs.
"You can still stay if you want, "Wayatt proposes while smiling cheerfully " get to the room... Lie on it... Sleep or do something else..." He comes closer to Brooke's ears and whispers "something exciting!" Brooke laughs while patting him to stop joking, he laughs too at his joke before they both start playing like kids in the parlor while laughing.
Ashley comes in and they slowly stop laughing and playing, they pay attention to her.
"Ashley! So how was the trip?" Brooke asks.
"Fine!" She simply says with a smirk of some seconds. " I'm tired, goodnight to you." She gets up nonchalantly.
" I'm worried about her." Brooke says to Wayatt.
"She will get better soon," he approaches Brooke to him, stay behind her and hug her " soooo are you staying?"
"You know I have classes tomorrow, but we are going to see at the beach party."
"Okay. Let me bring you back home."
They get upstairs and arrange everything Brooke has, before riding to the Wild house.
Even if deaths don't talk, they still need your affection, seeing you on their graves is refreshing for them. You can mourn someone, even if it is silently, you know he will always rest in your heart. People never go, they are still by your side.
