Chapter 46: The Funeral

The three boys walked to Mirio's room and knocked on his door. "Come in!" Mirio said through the door. Asta opened the door and they were shocked by what they saw.

They saw Mirio in his bed doing exercises. "Heya guys, you guys hear that I'm the only one that has to stay in the hospital. Crazy right, I'm full of energy!!" Mirio shouted while doing bicycles in the air. The three boys were just shocked at Mirio's condition. "Yeah I know I shouldn't be so joyful after I lost my quirk and my mentor. But the thing is, I have to smile. It was the last thing that Sir wanted me to do" Mirio said.

"So until then, I will continue being the finest hero I can be" Mirio shouted smiling. "That's good. You will always be a great hero, quirk or no quirk" Asta cheerfully said.

"About that, there is a way I could give you a quirk" Midoriya butted in. "But at the cost of my own". "But maybe if I do give you it, you will be a better hero than I could've ever been" Midoriya mumbled. "Don't say that Midoriya, All Might chose you for a reason" Asta and Yuno said holding Midoriya's shoulder.

"I don't want it".

The boys looked up and stared at Mirio. "I wouldn't want to take your quirk just because I lost mine. And, you are already a great hero Deku. All three of you are great heros, you three are stronger than Nejire, Tamaki, and I" Mirio stated. "I can live without a quirk for a little bit. Hopefully one day Eri can reverse what happened to me".

"Speaking of Eri, would you like to see her?" Asta asked. "I can see her!?" Mirio questioned. "Yeah, the doctors let us see her and since you are mostly recovered you can see her aswell" Midoriya said. "But what about her quirk?". "Oh I gave her a piece of my sword and that nullifies her quirk aslong as she holds it" Asta mentioned. "Well then what are we waiting for!!" Mirio said jumping out of bed and starting to walk outside.

The boys made it to Eri's room and opened the door. "Hey Eri" Asta greeted. "Big brother Asta!!" Eri said. "And big brother Yuno and Mr. Deku!". "And look who else is here" Midoriya said opening the door. "Hey Eri!" Mirio waved. "Lemillion!" Eri said getting off her bed. "Are you feeling better" Eri mumbled. "Yeah I am, are you?" Mirio asked ruffling her hair. She nodded and sat back on the bed. "Why are you here?" Eri asked. "We just came to check up on you again" Midoriya chimed in.

"Lemillion is going to stay with you for the rest of the day" Asta said. "We have to get some things done for someone" Midoriya added. "Oh okay" Eri said sitting next to Mirio.

The three boys then left Eri and Mirio to help with Nighteye's funeral.

*timeskip to Nighteye's funeral*

Asta and Yuno stood with their father while they paid their respects to Nighteye. Asta walked up towards the shrine of Nighteye. "Thank you Nighteye for accepting me into your agency, I wish you were here to teach me more" Asta said and then walked back to Aizawa.

Asta decided to take Eri up to Nighteye's shrine to show her the man that planned her rescue. "Come on Eri, this was the man who help save you" Asta said inviting Eri to look at the shrine. She walked up to it and just stared at Nighteye's photo. "This is the man who saved you. He was the hero Sir Nighteye" Asta explained. Eri stood there and silence and then laid the bundle of flowers she was holding next to the picture.

"Hi Mr. Nighteye, thank you for saving me" Eri whispered. Asta smiled at Eri and taking her back to Aizawa.

Mirio then stepped up and spoke about his former teacher. "Sir Nighteye taught me many things. He taught me how to be a strong hero and be the best person I could be. He may have seemed like a very stern and strict person but I knew him as a very joyful man who always tried to smile". "I wish he could be here to see all of us grow to be fine heros" Mirio finished.

Mirio then walked up to Asta and Eri and bent a knee to talk to Eri. "Hi Eri. I like your dress that you are wearing" Mirio complimented. "Thank you. Noelle gave it to me" Eri said messing with her dress. "Well I think it looks very pretty on you" Mirio smiled.

The other members of Nighteye's agency now ran his agency. They then walked up Mirio. They discussed about how Mirio is welcome to come back to the agency anytime. "You three are aswell" Centipeder added. Asta, Midoriya, and Yuno turned their head towards Centipeder as he said that. "You three are welcome to come back to the agency". They went up to shake Centipeder's hand and thank him for welcoming them back into the agency.

Asta took one last glance at Nighteye's photo.

"Thank you Sir".

A/N idk how many times I have said sorry for being slow on updates but once again sorry. I just got stumped on how to write this and yeah. Also just a heads up I will not be doing season 5 or in the manga since I am not caught up in either.
