Chapter 49: U.A School Festival Pt 2

1-A was adding some final touches to their performances and their special effects. Midoriya went to get a couple of last supplies for their stands that are selling food.

Asta climbed up to the top of the gym and was getting ready to start pulling the strings to drop things such as a disco ball and start the fog machines.

"ARE YOU GUYS READY TO GIVE THEM SOMETHING TO SCREAM FOR!!!" Ashido shouted so everyone in the gym could hear it. "YEAH!!!!" The class shouted back. Asta was looking around and didn't see Midoriya. He just hoped that he would come back in time to do his part in the show. Their band they created started to practice while they waited for their audience to show up. Then their dance group started to practice and Ashido tried to help everyone forget about their nervousness.

Midoriya then came busting in looking a bit bruised and injured. Asta jumped down to check up on his friend. "Hey Midoriya, you alright?" Asta asked. "Yeah I'm okay. I just ran into a villian while I was coming back" He explained. "Well let's get you cleaned up before the show starts". Asta took him to the back and asked Uraraka to help him get ready. "Okay, take care of him while I get the things ready" Asta said while walking out. He then flew back up to the top and got everything ready. Everyone was in their outfits and everything was perfect.

Soon the entire school showed up into the gym, including some of the teachers. "ARE YOU GUYS READY!!!" Jirou shouted to the crowd. Asta could see Eri in the crowd, carried by Mirio. He looked to her and made a smile with his fingers. 

Jirou started singing and the rest started to dance. Asta being clumsy like always, started to trip up on his feet but soon got the hang of it. They continued to dance until they got the signal from Ashido.

Midoriya took off while Asta took off into the air with Aoyama. He then used his wings to fly himself and Aoyama in the air. Aoyama began to shoot lasers from his belly button to amaze the crowd. He flew the two of them back down and they both bowed to the crowd. They continued to dance and sing until Ashido gave them the second signal. More of the dance crew left and went to the second story. Todoroki made an ice roof above the crowd while Noelle started to her water into water vapor and spread it through the gym. Mimosa started to create sunflowers to brighten up the gym. And Yuno used his wind to life people up, with a little help from Bell.

Asta flew back up and started to help Kirishima pour confetti over the crowd by flying over them. While he was in the air, he could see Eri's face and she was laughing and smiling. He thought back to the first time he met her and how sad she looked. But now, she looked so happy. He smiled and continued to please the crowd.

The show had finished and they crowed cheered and clapped. Once everyone left, Noelle and Mimosa left to compete in the pageant. Asta stayed for a little bit to help clean but he promised Noelle that he would be there to watch her. While he was cleaning, Eri came up to him. "Hey Asta!" She waved. "Hey Eri, what'd you think of the show?" He asked her while getting on one knee. "It was so fun, you and Deku dissapeared and then I saw you again flying around" she said jumping up and down. "Well I have to go see Noelle at the beauty pageant, do you want to come with me?" He invited her. "Sure!" She said excitedly. "Then let's go!".

When they arrived, Noelle was still waiting to be called up. So Asta decided to suprise her. Yuno followed him since he also wanted to suprise Mimosa. "Knock knock" Asta said opening the door. Noelle was still applying make up when they arrived. "Hey Asta" she said waving. "Wow Noelle you look beautiful" Eri said. "Awh thank you Eri" Noelle said hugging her. "You look great Noelle" Asta said kissing her forehead. "Thanks. What are you guys doing here?" She asked. "We came to suprise you and give you good luck" Asta smiled. He looked down to her neck and noticed she was wearing the necklace he bought her. "You're wearing the necklace?" He asked. "Yup. I thought that maybe it could give me some good luck to win" she laughed. He smiled and said "well I know you will win".

They turned to see Yuno smothering Mimosa with love and trying to hype her up saying things such as "you got this" and "you're the best". They smiled at eachother and then were called up. "Good luck Noelle and Mimosa" Eri said waving bye. "Thank you Eri" they both said waving bye to their boyfriends and Eri.

The three went to find seats and sat down to watch. They saw everyone and their dresses. But when it was Noelle and Mimosa's turn, they cheered as loud as they could for them. The other members of their class showed up and cheered for the two.

Even Bakugou gave them some praise with a few claps here and there.

After the entire pageant, Nejire had gotten first, Noelle got second, and Mimosa got third.

They walked down to their class and their class jumped after them showering them in praise and hugs. "You did it Noelle!!" Asta cheered for his girlfriend. "Yeab but I didn't get first" she frowned. "That doesn't matter. In my mind, you will always be first" he said planting a kiss on her cheek. "Hey you messed up my make up!!" She said slapping his arm and he snickered.

Class 1-A went back to their dorm and laid down. It had been and exhausting few days after preparing for the show and the pageant. But now they could rest for a bit.

Asta went back to his room, only to be met by Liebe. "Haven't talked to you in a while" he chuckled. "What do you want!?" Asta asked summoning his swords. "No fighting is necessary" he said putting his hands up. "I can't fight you and kill you since I am part of you so I thought that I could help you" he said crossing his arms.

"How?" Asta asked. "By giving you full control of my powers" he said. "How do I know this isn't a trick?" He questioned. "I'm a demon, not a god of mischief" he stated. "Then let's take out the villians together" Asta offered.

"So Friends?".

"Friends".
