The day went on. I was sitting in the apartment with the still unnamed dog. He was napping on my legs while I watched tv. It was a show about FBI agents. As unrealistic as it was, it was still fun to watch.

There was a character who reminded me of Penelope, who made a joke. "You're like a comet." That was when the large puppy looked up. Picking his own name.

"Really? Comet?" I tilted my head at him. His tail wagging in excitement. "Comet it is. I'll get your collar wen we go on a walk." And at the word walk, he jumped down. Running to meet me at the door. "Or I guess we're going now."

I headed to the door, slipping on white vans. Them matching with the white sweat pants and black fitted long sleeve shirt I had changed into earlier. I grabbed the black Disney mini backpack. Throwing my phone in. I took the leash out of the bowl, connecting it to the harness.

I opened the door, only to close and lock it from the outside. Starting the path to the pet store. It was a nice day out, the sun shining but the temperature being cold. And not having a jacket, I shivered at the feeling.

And as we walked, I could definitely feel eyes glued to me. Making my steps pick up into a speed walk. Luckily, the pet store was right there. I let out a heavy breath that didn't go unnoticed by the lady by the door.

"Are you alright, love?" She asked. A British accent poking through. I smiled kindly.

"Yeah, just felt like someone was watching me. It's what I get for watching crime shows before walking alone." I softly laughed. I glanced out the windows. Seeing absolutely nobody suspicious. "But, I have Comet to protect me."

"He's a cutie! A puppy I assume?" She knelt down to pet him. Getting kisses from the German Shepard.

"He is indeed. Getting his collar and name tag today." I informed. "I should get going though! I'm meeting my girlfriend for her lunch break!"

"Oh, you're taken? What a down right shame. You're quite attractive," she complimented. A rose color creeping into my cheeks.

"Thank you, and you're stunning as well. It was nice talking to you!" I bid goodbye, trying to walk out of the conversation. She smiled, and left. Mumbling something to herself.

I ignored it and walked through the store. Stopping in the collars and letting Comet pick one out himself. For a puppy, he was pretty smart. While he was sniffing them all, my phone rang. It being Emily.

"Where are you?" She sounded a bit angry.

"The pet store. I'm getting a collar with Comet. Since he finally picked his name." I laughed, listening to her scoff on the other end. "Are you ok? Did something happen today?"

"Who was the woman you were talking to? The one who you looked absolutely in love with?" She cut straight to her problem. It threw me into confusion as how she would know that.

"How'd you know? Also in love? More like intrigued at her accent." I replied, taking the blue collar the puppy picked out. Grinning down at him.

"Someone sent me a picture." She answered as if that wasn't out of the normal behavior.

"You don't hear it? Are you that jealous and possessive? Because, if someone just sent you a picture, no context, I assume I'm being watched. So, if you, I don't know, want to come get me before I get taken, I'd really appreciate it." I pointed out the obvious. Listening to her hurry out the room she was in. Rolling my eyes as it was easy to hear her trip. "Don't die coming to save me."

"Shut up! You act as if you've never tripped in your life." She sassed. The sound of a car opening came through.

"Where you already in the elevator or something?" I furrowed my brows. Making my way to the tag printer. Picking the galaxy design in the bone shape. Typing in the name and my number. Letting it go through and start printing.
