A solid seven months had passed, still never cracked a smile.

For the first two months I would cry myself to sleep, or just cry all night. I would either cry in my room, or I would go into Emily's room. I never touched the way her room was.

There were days when I would lay in JJ's office and cry to her. She had only been back for a while now. She always seemed to write down those days. I never questioned why she would write down anything.

Then the nights out with the team. We would go to dinner, but I never had the appetite. I never had an appetite in general. I stopped eating. They caught on to it, only after the first time I passed out. Which only made someone monitor me during lunch or dinner. That someone usually being Derek or Penelope.

Today was different. We found that son of a bitch. We found Doyle. We were acting on it instantly. After six damn months of searching, we found him. JJ and Derek were taking a building. Rossi and Reid took the house with the child. I was told to stay back with Penelope at the office.

An hour goes by, then Penny leaves her office. Which is where we sat the whole night. I didn't bother following her, as I assumed she was going to the bathroom.

After she didn't come back for five minutes, I decided to go looking. To find her and Hotch standing in an empty office. He leaves her in front of the board. "When did he get here?" I whispered from behind her.

"Not too long ago," she responded.

Roughly two hours pass, and we're just waiting. Down the hall stood JJ and Hotch. I locked eyes with him, trying to read his lips. Failing miserably. JJ soon turned to face me as well. They said something then departed.

"Roundtable room. Now." He demanded walking past.

I turn to look at Penelope, both of us stuck in confusion. Yet at the same time, eager to find out what was happening.

Soon everyone was in the room. We were discussing where Derek had gotten with Doyle, only to be stopped by Hotch walking in.

"Welcome back." Derek greeted.

"Thanks. Everybody have a seat." He started.

"Why? What's going on? Everything all right?" Derek quizzed.

"Seven months ago I made a decision that affected this team. As you all know, Emily had lost a lot of blood after her fight with Doyle. But the doctors were able to stabilize her. And she was airlifted from Boston to Bethesda under a covert exfiltration. Her identity was strictly need-to-know. And she stayed there until she was well enough to travel. She was reassigned to Paris. Where she was given several identities, none of which we had access to for her security." He summarized.

"She's alive?" Pen asked, with gloss covering her eyes. No response came from Hotch.

"But we buried her." Reid mentioned.

"As I said, I take full responsibility for the decision. If anyone has any issues, they should be directed towards me." Hotch accepted.

"Any issues?" Derek repeated. "Yeah, I got issues."

Pen's mouth made an 'o' shape. Causing us all to look at the door way.

"Oh, my God." Penelope whispered.

She stood there scanning each of them. Never once, did she look at me though. I couldn't believe it. Hotch and JJ both knew she was alive.
