Ch. 53 | He Don't Know Me Anymore

He removed his glasses then gave them to one of his assistants. I was stunned because he just said 'granddaughter'.

"I think he is Benjamin Gil! He owns one of the biggest companies in Spain!"

"Oh my god! This wedding is a mess!"

"Isn't he the one who helped Lopez Group of Lawyers to rise?!"

"So it means that girl is his granddaughter?!"

I can hear the commotion around me. I looked at my friends and they looked surprised. I can also see them and other people looking and mumbling about me.

"M-Mr Gil! What are you doing here?!" Mrs. Lopez said, and it looks like she was trembling.

"I heard that you've been treating my granddaughter badly, so I came here to check." He said.

"F-Father"

I was stupefied and I forgot about the guards chasing me so they caught me. I tried to remove their arms but I can't because of their strong grip.

"Release her!" Antaios shouted. "Mom! Stop this foolish thing already!"

"Why are they holding my granddaughter now?" My Grandfather asked her furiously. "What are you trying to pull, Ariana? If you don't release her this instant-"

"Grab her to the helicopter and get her away from here. The wedding will proceed."

"Mom!" Antaios shouted again. "Selena! Hang in there!"

I'm still trying to remove my arms but I still can't. I can see Antaios chasing after us.

This moment was one of the worst moments of my life. Me being dragged up because of being hard-headed, while Antaios was chasing after me, stopping his own wedding.

"Don't follow me, Antaios! Just continue your wedding! I don't want you to get involved in my crazy plan! Please!" I cried.

He's still running and looks like he doesn't want to stop. He still wants to follow me.

I was already at the helicopter, and it's almost flying into the air. But he ran faster and grabbed the landing skid.

"Antaios! Are you insane?!" I shouted. "Let go! Following me is not worth it!"

"No, Selena!"

"Hey, you! Let go or else I'll make you!" One of the guards shouted.

"Just let go already! Following me won't do you any good!" I shouted once again while tears are flowing slowly from my eyes. "There's a sea coming ahead! If you fail or got tired of grabbing the skid, You'll drown! If only I can reach you! Please, Antaios! I beg you!"

"Don't mind me, Selena! I'm strong!" He shouted.

We already reached the sea. I think the guards will lose their temper now. I don't think Antaios can hold on anymore.

"Please, Sir! Don't make him fall! He's the--"

"Antaios!!!"

He fell as I expected. I have no choice but to risk my life and jump with him and made us end up drowning. And I have no clue, that'll be the last moment where he will remember me.

I woke up in a room, and I have no idea what and whose room I am in. I can see a TV, a bedside table with fruit at the top, and some chairs. There is also an open window and that made a white curtain fly. I tried to stand up. The light coming from the window is too bright and that made me cover my face with my arms. But I was shocked when I saw my wrists with a hospital wristband bracelet. I also noticed that I was wearing a hospital gown.
