"Pat!"
"Yeah, It's me. Are you drunk or something? Why are you throwing up?" He asked.
"I just... accidentally drank an expired bottled coffee," I responded.
"Mamma mia! You should always look at the expiration date of the product!"
"Yeah. I didn't have a chance to look because I'm too thirsty." I sighed. "What brings you here? Did Mother send you here?"
"Yeah, she did." He said. "The one that killed your mother and father has been caught. And she's Christian's mother, Nicole."
"Wait, WHAT? It's Auntie?!"
"I knew you'll be shocked." He sighed. "Christian has been staying in his room since the day he found out about his Mother's wrongdoings."
"I can't believe she did that. She brings a lot of packages for me when I was studying at Harvard! Is she doing that for a purpose? To get my trust? I will never forgive her!"
"You will be a character witness if the prosecutor approved the case." He said. "Let's just hope prosecution will do their best, So you can obtain justice for your parents. I was also informed that the defense attorney of Christian's mother was here. The world is so small."
"Wait, I've met some lawyers here. Who's the lawyer you're talking about? What's the name of that lawyer?" I asked out of curiosity, thinking that it might be Savannah.
"I don't remember his name..." He tried to recall.
It can't be. He's a man.
"I remember! It was Lopez! Antonio!"
I knew it. It was him.
I think him knowing my name sooner is good enough because he will still found that out when he interrogates me.
But him being an enemy? I can't even imagine it. He will be the suspect's hope and my weakness. If he did well, The criminal won't be imprisoned. And it will make me hate him. But what can I do? Fate brought us here.
"Isn't Lopez the surname of the one that you loved? The one that suffered from amnesia?" He asked.
"Yeah. That's him."
"Oh, sorry."
"Do you want to stay at the cottage with us?" I asked.
"Oh, It's okay. I already booked a hotel room. But I wanna stay there for a minute. I'm all alone in the hotel and I get bored easily. I wanna meet your friends again." He said.
"Okay. Let's go then"
We walked to the cottage while he grabbed his phone, looking like someone texted him or something.
"Watch your step, Patrick! You might trip" I reminded him.
"Oh, sure. I was distracted by this video my friend sent me."
"That video must be so catching that it made you glue yourself at your phone. Tell me about it." I walked closer to him and took a peek at his phone.
"It was some girls fighting. They are pulling each other's hair and they might end up getting bald. It's at the hotel I was in. The hotel with a hot spring."
"Their fight was intense" I giggled. "They really-"
Fvck! It was Alissa and Savannah!
"What the hell is wrong with them?!" I became angry. "I'm sorry, Pat. But I need to go because that girl was my friend. Our cottage is that floating cottage over there, you can head there first"
