I replied immediately. That was a piece of great news, but why do I feel uneasy?

I fell asleep. I slept for like... 6 hours. Someone irritating was distracting me from getting a night of good sleep.

"Hey, hey! Wake up, you sleepyhead! You already slept enough!" It was Samuel. "I finally got a chance to talk to you."

"I'm sorry, Sam... About your car-"

"I'm glad you're safe, sissy! That was a dangerous one, and the one who strangled you was already in jail. It's just your Aunt that needs to be detained, Selena!" He said.

"Your car-"

"Forget about that car! I'm not that cruel to care more about that car than my own sister." He cuts me off.

I hugged him by my right hand and tapped his back. "It's been a while since I hugged you like this, Sam. Thank you for caring about me."

"We're siblings, we should care for each other." He also tapped my back

"You just cheered me up, Sam."

"Hey, Selena. Are you crying?!" He was shocked when he saw some tears falling from my eyes.

"Yeah, I guess."I replied.

We talked and talked about random stuff for about an hour, I even played with them in their classic game in mobile legends.

Hours later.

I felt bored, really. It was so cold that I covered myself with my blanket. It was snowing hard outside and that's why I can't go anywhere. I watched Netflix, but it's still not enough.

I was gonna doze off but my phone rang. When I looked at it, he messaged me again.

Antonio_Lopez: Oh, okay then. I'm sorry for misunderstanding.

Antonio_Lopez: Merry Christmas! Good luck at your trial tomorrow.

I thought he won't believe my lies, but he did. I feel bad for lying, but It's for the best. I will just make it worse for him and me.

The day of the trial. 26th of December.

Being in here was really tensing. I was at the front row, the rows for the witnesses. Mother, Father, and Patrick were sitting behind me. I bit my lower lip out of nervousness.

"Calm down, Selly. Everything will be okay" Mother tapped my shoulders.

"Okay, Mother."

After a minute, the jury entered the courtroom which made me more nervous. We all stood up, then sat down again.

The prosecutor cited the information about the case, then the defense attorney denied it.

"Claimed by the accused, she was just buying something at the store which the victims also happened to buy on. She assumed that she hates her, but she also assumed that she isn't the one that removed the breaks of their car." Her defense attorney said.

As soon as the defense attorney said that, they called me for the character witness. As I was walking through the witness' seat, I was trembling out of nervousness. And when I sat in the seat, I recited the witness' oath. And they told me to tell my side of story.
