Ch. 57 | Another Coincidence

I looked around to see what's going on, And it looked like somebody shoot a gun at someone. But there was another continuous gunshot. I noticed that I was the only one outside because all people that were there rushed inside the main building.

I was about to walk farther to check what happened but someone grabbed my hand.

"What are you doing?! Let's head inside the cottage quickly!" It was Jax. He grabbed me then hurried to the cottage. Nobody was on the balcony and the table with food and drinks was left there, and when I entered inside, they were all gathered there.

"Hey, Selena! What happened out there?!" Asked Demi.

"I have no idea. When everyone heard the gunshots, they all ran inside. But I didn't see anyone suspicious there." I replied.

"Alissa told us to hurry inside when we heard the gunshots. What if some random dogs eat our food outside?" Tristan said.

"Hey, Don't be like that! There might be stray bullets!" She shrieked. "Safety is also our priority"

"She's right. We should stay here until we saw someone out there." Kath suggested.

"I saw people outside," Harry said. "We should head outside too"

All of us headed outside. We looked around us and few people are already outside.

"It's a relief that dogs didn't eat our food." Tristan sighed.

"Look at you! You care more about food than safety!" Demi hit him in the shoulders.

"Sorry, okay?" He wrapped his arms around her shoulders.

"Oh my god!" Kath shouted. "Is that the person who got shot?! They even dragged him outside!"

"I see it! Someone's trying to save him!" Samuel pointed at the shot person.

I immediately ran towards the person that was shot to save him. A person is trying to do something to make him survive, and I should help that person.

"Selena!" They shouted at me.

I didn't look back. I know they are trying to call me and make me get back there. But I need to save this person. Stray bullets? I don't care. It's not new for me to risk my life just to save a patient.

"Was he shot?" I asked the guy.

"Yes. He said it hurts a lot." The guy answered.

"Let's just stop it from bleeding. Did you call the ambulance? You better do because it needs a quick surgery." I said. "Hold this. Make sure to not release. That's the only thing I could do to save him. Let the doctors cure him."

"It's you, Doc Kelley!" He was shocked, Then I just noticed that it was Antonio.

"Attorney Lopez!" I smiled awkwardly.

"We meet two times already! What a coincidence!" He said.

"Uh, you should focus on holding the towel first"

Someone was calling me from my back. I looked back, And it was all of them. I don't know what to do. Should I stop them because they'll see him, or should I let it be?

"Selena! Why the hell did you go there without even thinking?!" Jace looked furious.

"This person's life matters! I thought about it and I decided to save him!" I shouted.

"Wait. Is she Selena?"

Christ. I'm doomed.

"Yeah, her name is-"
