Ch. 38 | Underestimated By His Mother

"Meet me at Piatto Pienno tomorrow. You should be grateful because you're using my precious time. Be there before 10 AM"

"Oh, Sure! I'll be going, Miss Lopez!"

Sh*t. Is it the worst nightmare of my life?! I'm meeting Antaios' Mother tomorrow! I wonder what will we discuss. But it makes me go more nervous! Her voice is... Ugh! Why am I scared of her voice?!

Is this about the babysitting job? I wonder why.

"Who's that?" Samuel asked.

"Oh, this? Just some random people. Maybe the one that called me called the wrong number." I replied.

"Then...?"

"I hanged up of course!" I rolled my eyes.

"I'll get to sleep now. I feel tired because of training. You guys just unbox that package. I'll look to it tomorrow." I yawned. "G'night!"

I headed to my room then changed into pj's. I turned the fan on then died.

6:01 AM

"I'll be going now!" I waved at them

"Why are you so early? Are you having a date with Antaios?" Samuel grinned.

"How about you? You have a date with your Girl Monique?" I raised my eyebrows.

"Stop saying her name. We broke up last night."

"WHAT?! WHY DID YOU LET HER GO?" I whispered at him. "Nevermind. I'm going now. Bye!"

"Why did they break up?" I sighed. "I wonder how it feels to have a relationship and to break up with your lover. Does it hurt that bad?"

I headed into the address that Antaios' Mother told me. I felt nervous because she might scold me. After all, I'm not doing a good job of being a babysitter.

I arrived after some minutes. And I saw a beautiful woman sitting alone in the window seat. I went to her and greeted her.

"Are you Selena?" She asked.

"Oh, Yes! I am! It's nice to meet you, Antaios' Mother!"

"Call me Attorney Lopez."

"Oh, It's nice to meet you, Attorney Lopez!" I smiled.

"Take a seat." She said.

"Mia Selena Grey, Has Three Non-biological Brothers. Was adopted by her Father's Older Sister when they died. From Section 2-B in 12th Grade. 6th in the lowest."

I was shocked when she said all the information about me. I became more nervous.

"You don't suit Antaios. He has high standards and he belongs to a big family. Some low people like you won't be able to be a part of Lopez's Group."

"What do you mean, Attorney Lopez?" I confusedly asked.

"I mean that you should stay away from him. I know you are babysitting him, But I suggest you find another job. I'll give you your overall salary." She said.

"Miss Lopez, Ah- I mean, Attorney Lopez. You must be mistaken because I'm not his lover and something." I cleared out.

"That's why I'm telling you to quit your job, Miss Mia Selena Grey. I don't want you to get any closer to him anymore." She picked something from his bag. "Here. Your overall salary. I'm begging you to not come to him anymore."

"Oh." I grabbed the envelope that she's giving me.

"You remembered Savannah? She went to another school, And I know it's because of you. You also got a fight with her Sister. That attitude is not right. I pity Savannah because she got punished because of False Accusations." She said, She looked like she's taking Savannah's side. "You know Julianna? She's the one who told me about your very rude attitude."
