HER eyes couldnt believe as endless tears flowed down her cheeks, turning around as the male removed his hand and instead dug his hands inside his pockets. he was lazily standing close behind her, violet eyes looking down at her as he raised one of his blond eyebrows.

"r-rindou?"

"ew, are you crying?" he made the most disgusted facial expression as he slightly pointed at her face.

the girl frowned as she looked away, the back of her hands quickly wiping some of the salty tears as she tried to calm herself since no one has seen her crying face. it was somehow embarrassing to the point that she didn't even want to look at him anymore due to his sudden appearance.

"w-why are you back so soon?" her voice cracking at the question she asked as she heard the male scoff.

"tch, none of your business." he rolled his eyes as he sat next to her, eyeing the dusty gravestone as he side eyed the girl who was breaking down earlier, noticing her sad smile as she stared at it as well.

"mom, dad, this is haitani rindou. i'm pretty sure you've seen what things he did from above right? he may seem like an obnoxious rock but deep inside he's a bit of a softy--"

"shut up!" he spat as the girl only chuckled in response.

the two sat there until sundown, just either naomi telling him some facts and stories about her parents as the male quietly listened, still amazed that she could still keep a straight face amd smile after her family tragedy, also thinking about how sort of similar they were in that aspect, unable to show their true emotions and either hiding it with a fake smile or mean insults. people cope in different ways there are always people who understand.

"let's go now before it gets dark, see you, mom and dad." her lips curved into a sad smile as she stood up, brushing herself off as was ready to leave and so did the male who didn't speak a word throughout the day.

"what do you want for dinner, rin--"

the moment she turned around the sight of the glasses guy was already standing behind her, his slender arm extending as his hand held a small pink keychain that was shaped like an octopus. it had sort of an uwu face as it dangled beneath rindou's palm.

"here, for you." he looked the other way as he frowned yet his cheeks were tinted red.

the female was lost for words yet snapped out of it realquick, couldn't help but blush at his cute gesture as both of her hands took it from the male's, lifting it up and squishing it to see that it was like a soft rubber. almost similar to a stress ball.

"so you could stop that annoying habit of yours, just squish that little shit."

the girl laughed as she continued to play with it but stopped as she thought of an idea that popped out of her mind.

"why don't i squish your cheeks instead?" she hopped towards him as both of her hands pinched his cheeks on each side of his grumpy face.

the priceless reaction she expected was even better as his violet eyes widened at her action, his mouth opening to find the right words yet he just slapped her eyes away, glaring at the girl who bursted out laughing. he watched as it was one of the first times he has ever witnessed a girl who laughed to much for her own good, probably the way to hide her inner pain.

"don't touch me, gross." he pretended to wipe of his cheeks in disgust as the girl pouted, offended that it was him who touched her with affection first.

"gross? you were the one that hugged me first." she crossed her arms and made an angry expression as the male only raised an eyebrow at her. "well, if you say so, then i'll never touch you again." she claimed, about to walk pass the male as he slight gasped.

a strong yet warm hand held her wrist as she was pulled into his chest that was like a wall, long arms wrapped around her waist as he burried his face into her shoulder. his eyes closed feeling the warmth that radiated through her presence, giving him some kind of safe feeling.

"you can't do that, idiot." he whispered, as he pulled her closer while tightening his grip as if she was drifting away. "it'll make me sad." he added as she felt her heart beat fast at how soft and fragile he sounded.

"then don't call me gross!" she complained, the sound of him lighty laughing was like music to her ears as she felt like it was a whole different person.

"how about i call you mine?"

her mouth separated at those very words as her cheeks began to redden even more at how fucking smooth he was being as she was lost for words.

"wh--"

"one more thing..." he trailed softly as he slightly lifted up his head as his lips almost touched her ear as he whispered.

"you look ugly when you cry, so dont do that again or else i'll gouge your eyes out." he turned to face her as his hand gently patted her head, giving her a soft smile.

it was such a blessing seeing rindou smile.

like it was accomplishment having to see this side of him, wondering also if he has ever showed that to anybody else but her.

"w-we should go home now." she held her warm cheeks as rindou only nodded, his hands dug inside his pockets again.

as they were about to exit the now deserted graveyard that was still decorated with white blankets of snow, walking side by side as the female noticed the male stop behind.

"rindou, whats the matter?" she asked as she walked closer to him to see that he was in a squatting position, his face was the definition of a what the fuck face as naomi landed on the object he was holding.

"why the fuck is there a hammer here?"
