HEAVY BREATHS filled the isolated area as they're chests were struggling to catch their normal stance. it came from the bodies of the two men, trying to regain their lost energy by sitting down for the mean time and to just kill time by every second their watches moved and by every hitch the end of their throats gave out. luck seemed to be on their side as no other being other than them was present, giving a golden chance by feeling the moment and freely move around with their might without being causious.

"she must be pretty mad right now." ran's deep voice breathed out, the empty parking lot echoing every word coming out from them like a well.

though the man whom he was also talking to had his head leaned on the cement wall, its cold stiff figure was enough for his back to rest his strength. not even minding if his expensive clothing was dirtied as he treated like it was the old times. purple bangs and strands of his luscious hair scattered across his perfectly sculpted face with some wet because of the cold sweat that trickled down his forehead, dripping to his sharp jawline that lone strips from his head stuck on his neck. he couldnt deny that fighting with long ass hair had some cons as well.

"we cant go back looking like this, and stop posing like that." rindou's droopy eyes caught the sight of his taller brother who stood a few inches away from him, his hand on his waist like some model that reminded him of their past as he was always like that whenever they were about to brawl.

although ran looked alot worse, the injury level of the both of them was close as fair as he can notice some on his face and his leg limping due to the fact that rindou tried to break his leg in anger but resulted into a fail. no matter how hard it was he can never beat his own brother. the only person that stuck around him from his whole life, the person he was with through thick and thin and the only person that shared the same blood as him. they were as close as inseparable to this day, the old saying flashed on his mind as blood is thicker than water.

"force of habit." the older shrugged, his tall figure leaning on to a random car as he watched him take out a piece of cigarette and a lighter from inside the pockets of his suit. rindou couldnt deny the sudden urge of lighting the familiar stick and its smoke lingering inside his throat wasnt as easy as killing somebody yet fighting oneself was harder when youre trying to turn away from the habits you swore you wouldnt do.

"tch, does she even know you smoke?" he asked a bit of annoyance was laced through his hoarse voice as it was still dry as fuck. his brothers reaction was too good to be true as his violet eyes widen in realization yet it was too late as the small flame already touched its end whilst his lips held the other in between.

ran let it all sink in to himself as he never knew a single question was all he needed to reminicise about the avoidable things he couldve done yet failed to do so because of his selfish decisions that lead to him where he was now. it was like the piece of cigarette on his mouth, inhaling in the gray smoke and after a few seconds puffing it out as he watched til it disappeared into thin air. just like him taking in the violence and brutality he did ever since he was a kid, breathing it all out smoothly as if he's making it vanish yet he still found himself taking in the things he let inside him again until it'll eventually crumble until it was no use to him anymore, just like the time he didnt know what has left. he never knew a single cigarette was by far worse than what anything he did as he didnt know it was slowly eating him alive. yes, addiction. its the worse.
