Chapter 4[wander]

After Geralt decided to turn back he headed for the nearest tavern, surely someone has heard the Bard sing, right?

All the songs about him and he never listened.

Soon enough he made it to a near by town, it was dark and there was an alluring mist covering the town like a blanket. It would have made others scared, and they would have turned around. Not this man, he has seen enough to not give a fuck.

Besides, he was only here for Jaskier.

But what would he say?

Its fine, he would come up with something. Luckily Yennefer was in the woods. The first step should be ending things with her.

He got off Roach and walked to Yennefer who was standing by a river facing him with an annoyed expression, odds are she hasnt forgiven him.

"Geralt are you following me i will not fall for you and your games." She said harshly. Geralt took a second before going. "Hmmm."

Yennefer rolled her eyes. "What do you want Witcher."

Geralt looked at her, " I would like to apologize for the things that I said, and did."

Yennefer laughed and surprised Geralt, he hadn't said anything funny.

"Thats rich Geralt its easy for you to want forgiveness when you weren't the one hurt." Yennefer said as she walked off.

Geralt stood in place but called out to her. "I dont need you to forgive me." Yennefer stopped in her tracks, the leaves stopped making crunching sounds under her dress as she did.

She turned around. "Then what do you want?" 

Geralt turned his head.

"I am telling you this so you know not to expect anything from me later on when you see me again." He walked towards Roach and they walked away. Yennefer was confused, but not upset. She shook her head and smiled, she would see him again but differently. For now she can continue her reasearch. She walked back the direction she was going, separate direction from the Witcher.

Geralt and Roach headed into another town. It was the same one where he first met Jaskier. Sure they weren't the most welcomed in there from neighboring guests, but it was the closest town, and the sun was setting.

He entered the Tavern not looking at anyone as he got an ale, he turned around and saw the bard sitting where he was the first time they met.
