Chapter 3

New's POV

He had been preparing their things to bring for the TVC since last night; putting water and snacks in one bag, while his and son's change of clothes in another.

Until this morning, he was rummaging through their closet thinking what else is missing.

He didn't know previously that one tiny baby would equate to one large bag.

Sometimes it's the baby wipes he missed, other times an additional set of clothes as he thought that one is enough, worst was when he forgot the milk thinking the vaccination will only take a while.

It took him a lot of practice but still cannot perfect it, though he improved a lot...

Last night, Krist informed him again that they need to be at the location at 10 o'clock in the morning.

"Newwiee!!! Siguraduhin mo na hindi kayo malalate ha. Sinabihan ako ng contact ko na baka bumisita ang CEO ng LOS, which is very unusual."

"Sinabi ko ng oo, ang kulit mo Krist! Paano ka napagtiya-tiyagaan ni Singto?"

Not that I'm irritated, he was already used sa kakulitan nito at minsan ay pagkabarubal na pagsasalita.

He's known Krist way back from our college days, blockmates sila from first to second years in Accountancy, but Kit decided to shift course in our third year.

Hindi daw niya kaya talagang tapusin since wala dun ang puso nya.

As for me, I don't have that option.

I was raised by my lola when my dad died.

My mom died giving birth to me, while my father died of a heart attack when I was in grade school. My maternal lola Nene, who owns a bakery, took me in.

But in order to help out on expenses, especially the books required by my course, I was a working student, a waiter in a fast food chain.

Also took a government examination in which I qualified for a scholarship.

I didn't bother taking the board exam since mas importante na kumita agad ako to help.

His lola is already old, that's why he needs to take care of the bookkeeping at their bakery, while working as a billing specialist in a small company for four years.

O diba, multi tasking to the highest level yan. 

Well he needs to, with another mouth to feed, he needs to mature, ASAP.

At first, his lola is helping him to take care of Non.

She adores Non so much, tuwang tuwa ito sa lalim ng biloy ng bata, already prominent kahit baby pa lang.

But then, he noticed na nahihirapan din ang lola nya, lalo na at kalikutan ang ganoong edad ni Non.

That's when he decided to concentrate on online jobs.

He found a small place for him and Non, wherein he asked his lola to move in.
But since she cannot let go of the bakery and their old house because of the memories, his lola stayed, together with her aunt's family.

"Naku New, nasanay na lang ako. Pasalamat na lang ang kaibigan mo at mahal na mahal ko siya hahaha" heard Singto shouting from the background took me out of my reverie.

"As if may choice ka", ganting sagot ni Krist sa boyfriend nya.

"You put me on speaker?? Sigurado ka dyan Kit? Baka kung ano ang masabi ko ha hahaha"

"Baliw! Anong sinasabi mo dyan? May ginagawa kasi ako. Saka wala akong nililihim kay Sing noh, alam niya lahat lahat." balik sa akin ng kaibigan ko sa pang-aasar ko sa kanya.
