Chapter 40

New's POV

I'm glad that Off persuaded me to talk to Joss. I can see how happy my son is knowing him.

Well at first, he was a bit afraid of Joss, well who wouldn't. The guy is huge.

But Non and Joss' cute wife Fon click immediately. She played with Nanon, while Joss tried his best to get Non's attention. And in no time, Non was already on his back.

I was so happy seeing my son with his father. Yes, I'm a bit jealous, especially when he called him Dad. And Joss might notice it, hence he told Non to call him Tatay, and Nanay for Fon.

Joss also took some alone time with Non, talking to him, while me, Fon and Off are drinking tea in our new house.

Yes, we moved into our new place last August 6. At first Nanon and Off didn't want to. Because of two different reasons.

Off's main reason is more on our tight schedule. A lot of things demand our time, so he said it would be best if we just move next month after the wedding.

As for Non, he told us he will miss his classmates, school and best friend. But Ohm and my friends promised that they will visit us.

It's also the reason why I want to move, since Nanon's classes will start in September, I want him to get used to his new surroundings. That made Off agree to my plan.

Of course we sought the help of Off's Mom, to recommend an interior designer.

I told Off I want to be hands on, buying stuff at the mall, etc. But Off put his foot down and told me to just ask the designer for catalogues I can choose from.

I'm still not used to how rich people do these things, but since it is less fuss, we go with Off's idea. And I might have a hard time deciding if I saw lots of furniture, decorations and plants.

Also another reason is because I got sick on our three day celebration of our first month being husbands.

I felt sorry that time, after eating dinner and finding our way to our room, I got so dizzy and almost threw up. Hence we really just stayed in our room, my husband taking care of me. Good thing, I felt better on our last day.

"It must be my migraine, babe. Or the oysters I ate."

"You lack sleep that's why. Please lang, once you finalize your contract with your clients, tell them you won't renew."

"Babe, I need to work, and besides I only have two clients. And we are on the final checking of the details of our wedding."

"Then ask for a leave, they will understand."

"Okay, fine. But only for a week, after the month-end close. I need to finalize the bookkeeping."

"Deal. Also Joss told me that they might visit Nanon on the 15th."

"They?"

"With his wife."

"But don't you have meetings on Mondays?"

"I already asked Mae to move it the following day."

"Hhhmm"

I was brought back to the present when I heard Nanon cry.

Actually both of them are crying. And as much as it hurts me seeing my son cry, I believe Joss won't hurt my son, his own son.

Off looks concerned too, but Fon told us that Joss mentioned to her earlier that he wants to tell Non about Mild, maybe their story, but of course not putting Mild in the bad light.
