Chapter 4

Off's POV

As soon as I saw my friend's missed calls I connected my phone via bluetooth to the car's dashboard and called him back.

"I'm on my way Arm, I just dropped by the office to sign something."

Mae, his secretary, called him early in the morning and informed that there's an urgent document that needs to be released to the vendor, and needs to affix his signature.

It's only 11:30am, and the shoot is scheduled for another three hours, so he has lots of time.

Moreover, the place is just near their office so it will only take him approximately thirty minutes.

"I already screened him, bro, pero syempre hindi naman masyadong obvious mga tanong ko hahaha. Will wait for you here." Arm mentioned and said his goodbye.

I maneuvered my car and set the desired destination.

I am still unsure about Arm's insane idea, but would like to see the guy that piques my interest.

Just like he estimated, he arrived at the location at exactly 12noon.

The moment he arrives, he can feel the sudden change in the atmosphere. His staff, specifically, are on their toes, some staff greeted him and offered him lunch. He understands why they are behaving that way as this is the first time he visited the production in his years of being the CEO.

I was scanning the place looking for my friend when suddenly a boy bumps into me. I can hear the gasps of the people around us.

I immediately recognized the kid—

"Non, sabi ko sa'yo wag ka tumakbo, baka mapatid ka sa mga cable wires. Sorry po Sir, pasensya na po kayo." says the man that is running after the kid.

The kid immediately spoke and said his apologies to me, looking like he was about to cry.

His face shows how scared he is, maybe because both of them are the center of attention.

He smiled and leveled himself to the kid, so as not to intimidate him, "No harm done, so don't cry. What's your name?"

"My name is Nanon but everyone calls me Non po." he can still feel the uneasiness of the kid, and the sob that he tries to hide.

He looked at him closely and saw what the kid was holding.

Hmmm cars— hope this works, he said to himself...

"I have a car, almost similar to the one you are holding. Would you like to see it?"

Immediately Non's eyes shoot up and look at him, excited, and showing his full set teeth.

"Talaga po? Opo gusto kong makita. But daddy said I should not talk to strangers."

Oo nga pala, hindi man lang siya nagpakilala sa bata.

"Hi Non, I'm Off Jumpol, but you can call me Tito Off." hold out his hands to the little boy.

Just like a man, Non takes it and shakes their hands firmly. Pinipilit niyang pigilin ang tawa nya, baka makaramdam ng pagkapahiya ang bata at tuluyan pang umiyak.

That was the scene seen by his friend together with Non's dad who is now walking their way.

He stood up and acknowledged his friend by nodding at him.

"Off" says Arm and nods back to him before looking at the person in front of them.

"Let me introduce you to our partners for Project Mill."
