New's POV

"Shouldn't you be at your wedding? You're enjoying the beach for too long now, you might get a sunburn."

I was walking at the beach when I heard a familiar voice. And there he was, Nammon...

"I always remember to put on sunscreen."

"Good, unless you want a skin like mine."

"Hey what are you doing here?"

"Shouldn't I be the one asking you that Newwiee?"

"You gave me an invitation to your wedding only to find out three days before the said date that it was postponed."

"I thought that you would break my heart but it looks like you still care for me hahaha."

I like how Nammon is still able to joke around, keeping our conversation light.

But I can't focus on him teasing me. What hit me more is that, the wedding was postponed.

What does he mean postponed? I told Off to cancel the wedding.

"Hi baby, how are you doing? Have you been good?"

I promised my kid that I'll call him every night. But that night, instead of my son answering the phone call it was Off who replied.

"Babe, let's talk. Where are you?"

I was silent for a while. Well I have a hunch that he will look for me at my grandma's house but what I didn't expect is that he will stay there.

"Off I asked you to let me be."

"But I need to tell you something, about Nanon."

He whispered the last two words.

Good that he still cares for my son. Who I can hear from the background asking when will be his turn to talk to me.

I don't want Non to know about it. Not today...

"I'll be back once I'm ready, we will talk."

"But-"

"Off, if you love me like you told me, let me be. I need to be alone for now."

"Babe, the wedding-"

"I told you to cancel it."

"Yes babe, but please tell me where you are. We need to discuss this."

"And we will."

Yes, I need to think a lot. I know this is difficult for both of us, but I need some time alone.

And since I know that Krist might still help Off in finding me, I made sure to move to another resort every three days. Nobody knows where I go when I need to be alone.

Maybe one, Nammon, but he didn't come with me that time when Mild died. He knows that I want to deal with it alone.

I'm not used to depending on other people. I may have asked advice from my friends, but as much as I can, I want to be alone and handle everything by myself.

A trait that I hate. Because I know, right at this very moment, though I'm pushing him away, I needed him... I want Off, beside me.

It was my first day at the third resort I checked in, when I turned on my phone that had been shutdown for the last six days. As I'm calling Nanon using the hotel landline.

Messages keep on coming as soon as I get a signal.

My friends were asking where I am and to call them back.
