New’s POV
We've been boyfriends for three months now. I can't say we got it easy; like other relationships, ours is a work in progress.
Last January, we agreed to celebrate our birthdays together. We went to the beach with our families, mine and Off.
I introduced my Lola and my aunt's family to them, and our grandmas get along so well that now both of them are already asking to give them a grandchild. So I can say we have the best family since we never had an issue in that department.
We also have a separate celebration together with our friends. Off rented a bar and invited his closest friends.
At first I was intimidated, I mean all his friends are part of the high class circle. The way they talk, carry themselves... I'm starting to feel so small.
Good thing my friends were with me. While Off and Arm roamed to talk to their friends, the latter's wife Alice stayed. She is an angel and a chatter like Krist.
"I don't like to socialize, unlike Arm" pointing at his husband "well it's part of his job anyways."
I learned that Alice is currently handling her own business, same like LOS, she is into ladies apparel, and collaborated with Off’s company.
She talks about how he met Arm and Off when they were in college. And that Off usually has a lot of girls and boys following him.
"He is well known, after all, he is an Adulkittiporn and the only heir. But aside from that, Off is really kind that others mistook it as flirting. And of course, boys and their rendezvous activities, you know." Alice winking at me.
"Just like that girl?" Krist asks, pointing using his lips to Off's direction.
My eyes narrowed when I saw the petite lady laying her hands on Off's arm, before giving him a smack on his cheeks.
"She is probably just greeting Off," Mix said to me.
I just smiled at my friends and Alice, then continued talking and drinking with them, but still glancing at Off and the girl talking animatedly.
Not everyone knows about me and Off, though we were already engaged, we tried to keep it low, away from prying eyes, I'm not used to it as well. It has been the talk of the town, him being engaged but he neither confirms nor denies it.
So maybe that little lady doesn't know she is holding someone that belongs to others.
I tried to catch Off's eyes, to let him know I don't like what is happening. But he seems too engrossed in their discussion.
"Don't worry, Off maybe dumb sometimes, but he only loves you." Alice assured me.
"I know, but it doesn't sit well with me when someone is flirting with him."
"I know what to do?" Krist volunteered.
"Naku Newwiee, don't listen to Kit, he might ask you to do the same thing he does. Remember what Singto told us?" Mix is right, I don't want to make a scene. But I'm so close to pulling that girl's hair and dragging her out of the bar.
"Well it is effective" Krist grunts
I'm already starting to weigh my options but then choose not to do it. I don't want Off to be embarrassed, also I have no idea what they are talking about, and who is he talking to.
But when we went home that night, I'm not talking to Off, because I’m still pissed at what I saw. He got so annoyed after asking me more than thrice why I'm not speaking with him.
