a/n; Hiiii! I'm late again. . . as usual. Anyway, sorry for the late update. I've been busy with scriptwriting for our variety show in our class and stuff like that. On the bright side, I've found a new crush in our class (just so I'll have the inspiration to roll out of bed and endure all my classes) -- mehehehe

Thank you so much for waiting! Oh, and just so you guys know, this story is unedited -- esp. this one bc I'm really, really tired and I just want to update. That's how much I love you guys!

Enjoy!

The Merry-Go-Round was one of the famous torturing types of torment inflicted upon souls sent to Hell. It was also Bael’s favorite game. The Merry-Go-Round itself should not be taken lightly. This game was, by far, the most dangerous sadistic play between Bael and the souls.

Malphas couldn’t believe it.

To have demons participated in the Merry-Go-Round was unheard of, much less Malphas in it. And an archangel as a participant was most definitely not something you see every day.

Malphas thought they could have escaped before it began, but that choice was out of the options already. Chances of surviving the game were down to five percent. If the demon children were only there, they could have helped Gabriella and Malphas. But as far as he knew, they were missing.

Damn that demon, Malphas thought wryly.

Just in time, horses started to appear, and a wide, steel platform replaced the ground they were standing on. The surrounding area was duplicating the original Merry-Go-Round with all the pumpkin-like seats and immobile horses. There was even a song that was childlike and it kept playing on and on. And then the whole place started to move in three hundred sixty degrees.

Gabriella placed her hand on Malphas’s arm as she yelped.

“We need to ride one of those,” Malphas said through gritted teeth. The Merry-Go-Round was one sick game he didn’t want to play but apparently they had no choice.

“N-No,” she stuttered. “L-Look at those shadows.”

Malphas did.

They were surrounded by people. No, not just any kind of people, they were lost souls. One child was facing them with her hands on the horse’s mane. Her eyes were glowing red, and her white dress was covered with blood. She looked like she was thirsty for blood, but Malphas could see what Gabriella could not see. Inside the child was a demon and its eyes were rolling backwards.

Malphas wasn’t affected entirely so as he was also a demon. Gabriella, on the other hand, was screaming. She was staring at her palms as if it was also covered on blood, which Malphas supposed was an illusion caused by the child.

Gabriella’s eyes flicked back and forth between her palms and the child’s. Her breath was labored and she was having a hard time to figure things out. It looked like Archangels weren’t susceptible to illusions after all.

“I didn’t kill her,” she said out of the blue, breathing fast and hot. “I didn’t. I didn’t. I didn’t.”

Malphas turned to her and shook her shoulders. “You didn’t. Wake up from it!”
