                      Mortifying.

Heaven was beyond destroyed. There were twelve domains: Mercury (Garden of Eden), Venus (the Lovers' abode), Earth (Guardian Angels), Mars (Destruction Sphere), Jupiter (Replicas), Saturn (Heraldries – the source of divinity for angels), Uranus (Memories), Neptune (Prayers), Pluto (Emptiness – Ritualization), Sun and Moon (Rebirthing Place), Celestial Glory (the Seven Archangels Sphere), and The Throne (where His Holiness sat). And all of these were open, torn apart in a rift so big you could almost see The Throne.

When Gabriel left from Hell, she kept on wondering why her travel was so short. She realized then that Lucifer pulled Heaven down, and was about to raise Hell. In simpler terms, Lucifer's trying to merge the two.

The Garden of Eden could no longer be considered as a garden. It was in ruins. The worst part? She could not see any souls at all. Originally, this garden was for all the good people on Earth, but it seemed like Lucifer took them all. Down to Hell. She felt helpless then. She had no idea how to rescue those souls. They could be screaming and crying out to Heaven and still, she didn't know what to do.

Everything's all grey and fading black and white. The trees were no longer dancing in delight. The sun would no longer shine, and the entirety of it was starting to fall. The debris of this domain was falling apart, and its debris would only fuel up Hell. This was what Lucifer wanted to do. He'd tear down Heaven just to power up his own world. He'd do everything just so he could control every soul and beings.

Gabriel stopped wasting tears.

She had to ascend, see what's left of Heaven.

Fortunately, there were three domains Lucifer couldn't destroy – not without Gabriel and Malphas, that is – The Sun and Moon, Celestial Glory, and The Throne. All of these were heavily protected, and His Holiness might have sent the Seruphim and Cherubim, though their places were usually at The Throne, they knew when to defend the other domains just so the damage wouldn't be further in.

Gabriel was right. The Seraphim (the burning ones) were guarding the Sun and Moon sphere. Having flaming swords with the inscription 'holy, holy, holy' on the blade, they leveled the Angels of Death. Their position was flying above God's throne, unlike the Cherubim who were beside/around it. Their primal duty was to constantly glorify and praise His Holiness. Their eternal song "Holy, holy, holy is the LORD Almighty; the whole earth is full of his glory." had been used by Jews and Christians for thousands of years. In Hebrew, to use the same word three times to describe something means that the person/object is completely like the word. So calling God Holy three times means that God was entirely and perfectly holy.
