Deception

Part Eight

The day that Yunmin was getting released from the hospital was on a Saturday morning, so the boys would be at home waiting for him. Tae was there with them while Jimin went to bring him home.

Jimin had agreed to let Jungkook come over to see him, but mostly so they can explain their situation to them together.

When Jimin arrived at home, he helped his son with his wheelchair and carried his crutches behind them.

The boys welcomed him home excitedly, hugging their big brother tight. They have really missed him.

They sat around in the living room talking for a while. Until Jungkook sent Jimin a text that he was pulling up.

Jimin took a deep breath and nodded to his friend who let him enter. When Jimin saw him walk in looking like nothing had changed, he shook his head.

"Papa! Are you staying home with us now? It's been so long since you've come home."

Jungkook looked over at Jimin and went towards him so he could sit down next to him.

He then called the boys over to them.

"Boys, your Appa and I have something we need to say to you. And it will be difficult for you to understand. But we both need you to know just how much we both love you all, very much. Nothing will change that. Ok?"

They look at him confused and then look at Jimin. He is already shaking, and getting teary eyed. But he knows it's something that has to be done.

"Boys, what your papa is trying to say, is that.. We.. we will be getting a divorce. He will no longer be able to stay here with us."

"What?! Why?! What happened?!" All three boys asked loudly.

"We're both sorry, but we will have to work out a custody agreement and you will stay with him on some days, and the rest with me here. He has already bought a new house and nothing else will change. Each of you will have your own room there, along with everything you can possibly want."

The youngest came and threw himself into Jimin's arms seeking comfort. And Jimin wrapped his arms around him.

"I also have something else to tell you." Jungkook says with a falter. "I have another child, a daughter. And that makes her your half sister. She will also be staying with us at our new home occasionally."

Yunmin moves his wheelchair back as he tries to control his sobs. And looks at Jungkook scornfully.

"You cheated on my Appa?" He loudly asks.

Jungkook was surprised by his outburst, not expecting him to know what cheating meant.

"Yunmin, please let me explain to you."

But Yunmin kept shaking his head and said, "No! You think we don't know what cheating is just cause we're kids. But we watch TV. We know that you had another lover when you were supposed to be home with Appa!

And you had another baby with that person and now you expect us to just be ok with it and accept her as family. Well I don't want more family! I just want my brothers."

"I know you are upset Yunmin, but you can't blame your sister for my mistakes. Yes, I have done something terrible. And I have hurt your Appa by my actions, but it does not change how much I still love him.

I love all of you very much, but I know we can't go back to how things used to be. I think once you meet her you will love her and want to protect her because she's your baby sister. She is very sweet and playful."

Yunmin rolls his eyes and looks away from him. Jungkook then turns to look at his middle son. He was worried the most about him since he's the most sensitive of the three. And his heart broke as he laid his eyes on his face.
