Deception

Part Sixteen

Jungkook is grilling some meat and watching his youngest playing together happily. He laughs when he hears his daughter call Hyun-woo 'Appa' just to have him correct her and tells her to call him 'Hyung'.

She giggles when he claps at her when she says, 'Hun'.

They then run around entertaining themselves while Jungkook keeps an eye on them. He is surprised when he sees his two oldest boys come out to sit at the patio table.

They just look at the two youngsters for a while and then Junho asks, "How much longer til we eat?"

"Not too long. Maybe you can go grab a few drinks from the fridge and some plates."

He nods and stands up to go inside. Jungkook then looks at Yunmin and asks, "Are you feeling ok? Your Appa mentioned that your leg occasionally hurts when you're just sitting down."

"I'm fine. It hasn't happened for a while now."

"Good, I'm glad."

Hyun woo comes running towards Yunmin laughing hysterically as his sister chases him with a Nerf bat. He hides behind his older brother and Yunmin sees her still charging at him and he reaches his arms out.

"No! Stop.. hit him, not me!"

But she hits him anyway when she attempts to reach Hyun-woo. He then pops out from behind him and begins to chase her and she runs away giggling.

Yunmin starts laughing as he watches them and Jungkook smiles as he witnesses it. Junho is walking out with the items Jungkook requested and saw everything that happened too. He doesn't say anything and when he looks at his father, he sees the stern look on his face. So he keeps quiet.

"Food's ready guys!" Jungkook yells out a short while later.

He then sees Hyun-woo walking back towards the table holding his baby sisters hand. They are both sweating and slightly dirty. Jungkook picks her up and walks over to the outdoor sink and washes her hands and face then dries them on a paper towel.

He tells the boys to wash up too and they then sit down to eat. Ae-ri sees her plate and instantly smiles.

"Here baby, you can chew on this ok." Jungkook hands her a sparerib wrapped in a napkin and she immediately starts chomping on it.

Hyun-woo laughs and says, "She eats funny papa. I like it."

"Yea, she loves to eat." Jungkook chuckles.

They all eat in silence for a while until Jungkook attempts to make conversation with the other boys.

"Now that the weather is starting to get warmer, I will have the pool cleaned so you boys can swim in it. I will even hire someone to teach you how to swim."

They all looked excited about it and Hyun-woo asked, "Can she learn too?"

"Of course.. it's always better to know how to swim. But remember, I don't want any of you out here alone without any adult supervision. Ok?"

They all reply 'Yes' and continue talking about what sort of games they could play in the water. Jungkook sees they are all starting to relax and he smiles.

Over the next few days, they all settled into a routine. Jungkook would call the boys every evening and they finally responded to his calls. And make plans for the next time he would see them.

One night as the boys were on the phone with their papa, Jimin's phone rang and he smiled as he answered it.

"Hey, what's up?"
