Veera's surgeon, Dr. Lancing walked into the office. With how good looking they both were it was like a medical show. They did the usual medical stuff. Patient verification. Vitals. He inspected the surgical site, and the injection sites. All in all it was a pretty standard follow up appointment.

"Annnd, I've got your genetic test results. It looks to me that you're testing negative for any trace of the resequencing virus, and all the tissue samples are testing positive for the new genetic material. Everything looks great!"

"My body is pretty great..." Veera joked. "That's what I'm told at least."

"Right." He said with an awkward pause. She'd never discussed her desire to be massive with any of the doctors on her surgical team, but it was clear he put the pieces together. Body proportion adjustment genes? An expanded stomach with a hunger control implant? Connections to Cozca? It wasn't a hard thing to guess.

Veera changed the topic. "So like - there is the implant right?"

"First a shot," The doctor laughed. "I guarantee you've never had one like this." The doctor pulled away the plastic seal from the container protecting an almost comically large syringe. A silvery liquid sloshed around suspended in saline. "This is the last part of your suite of changes."

"The nanobots." Veera said, trying to be brave. She knew exactly what she signed up for but, oh boy was that a big needle.

"Right. As it's been explained to you, all this material goes into your stomach. The bots will identify your stomach cells, latch on and demand they divide. Then the bots will ensure that everything gets repositioned correctly. A few weeks pass, and voila, larger stomach. The two weeks of recovery are mostly to ensure that your cells all have enough time to 'acclimate' to their new positions."

"Right. And the needle..."

Dr Lancing chuckled. "It looks scarier than it is. They use ones this big for getting samples during pregnancy. You won't feel a thing beside pressure, I promise."

Local numbing was delivered. And before long, the doctor pushed a half foot needle into Veera's stomach. He pressed the plunger down, and a heavy sloshing cold weight filled Veera's stomach."

She groaned as the needle came out.

"After care is simple. All you have to do is go home, and drink as much water as you can. Then for the next couple weeks, try to avoid eating enough to feel full. Which, since you've kept up on your stomach stretching prep, shouldn't be hard. At least not with your new implant."

Veera smirked. "That's what I've been really looking forward to playing with. I've had a computer in my stomach this whole time, and I can't wait to actually use it. Come on, what do I have to do?" She shook her hands like the doctor was withholding a gift.

"You already installed the app on your phone as instructed?"

"Yeah."

"Here. Open it up, enter the code on this paper."

Veera couldn't do it fast enough. She mistyped a few times before getting the code right on her screen.

"Now you'll have plenty of options. You can manually set the stimulation level any time, or you can use a wide range of automatic settings. There are options to set active periods and inactive periods. You can also set it to enhance or dampen natural signals. All the settings should have clear tooltips, or you can consult the manual here for more information."

Veera smiled and poked at the settings while waiting for discharge papers.

In her home bathroom, Veera changed into a bathing suit, then snapped pictures. One from the front, and one from the side. Before pictures for posterity. After, she practically ran to the kitchen, where previously prepared pitchers of water waited. Two gallons or so. She tapped on her phone a few times and dragged her finger across then held the phone against her chest. Her phone beeped, notifying her of the successful change.

Immediately her stomach tingled then lurched. A wave of nausea gripped it. She audibly groaned from the intensity. It was hunger. More than she'd ever felt before. She grabbed the first pitcher and chugged it. Then the second. Then halfway through the third, a safety setting kicked in, and reset her hunger implant to neutral.

She coughed and sputtered, splashing water down the front of her chest and stomach. With another couple taps she set her implant to the opposite setting - the incredible satisfied setting. Again, as soon as she pressed her phone against her chest it beeped and a wave of heat and pleased lethargy washed over her. She'd never been so satisfied after a meal. It wasn't quite the same as eating something great. The lingering taste was not there. But it was still an amazing sensation.

She looked down. After a gallon and a half of water, she looked a few months pregnant. She was convinced she could pass that way. With an exaggerated waddle she went to the bathroom, and took a couple after pictures of her sloshing belly.

Something strange happened. Running her hand over her engorged stomach, she felt attractive. Now, attention was something she was used to. Adulation and praise. Cheers and applause. She'd felt attractive before, but never because of how she looked. It was for her skills or outfit or any number of things but never her body. The round belly in the mirror, her round belly was the correct accessory. The right look for her. After all the time she spent fantasizing about having a belly, she was dumbfounded that she enjoyed it as much as she thought she would.

She turned, looking at it from the opposite side. Irresistible. What excited her more and more was the realization that it wouldn't be long before she'd never be that skinny again. It was a starting place.
