"I think I'm almost there," Kelri said to Connor over the phone. "I mean I see the Ruby Peak tower ahead. That's easy to spot. But I've never actually been inside before. I hope the car knows where it's going."

"And you're sure you're not just going to some place to have your kidneys stolen?" Connor chuckled.

"One way to find out... This is a fancy ass convention center though. Rich people live here too."

"Maybe the rich people want your kidneys."

"Connor. Honey. If they wanted my kidneys they'd probably have a better way to get them than just saying 'hey come meet my friend at the convention center'. They'd just come and take them. Maybe this friend is just in town... I mean people hangout at the center right? It's like another mall. I think there is a Sci-Fi convention here today."

"Maybe... I bet it has something to do with your belly."

Kelri laughed. "I wouldn't bet against you. It's not like I have any top secret data on me for the Secret Advisor to steal."

"Regardless, be careful. I love you."

"I love you too!"

She hung up with a smile just as her car drove itself into the parking garage. After waiting for a minute, the car contacted the garage and got an assigned space. A few minutes later, after spiraling up six levels, her car parked and let her out. She pulled her shirt down. It didn't matter, her long red fabric clung tight around her belly, and left exposed flesh on the bottom. With its weight pulling it down, her belly did a decent job of covering her exposed fat. An observant eye definitely would have spotted it though. "I guess it's time to go show you off." Kelri joked to herself and slapped her stomach.

Veera tapped the top of her thighs rapidly and took a deep breath. Normal. Gotta look normal. Why is this so hard? It's not like picking clothes is new to me... Veera decided on a short skirt, with a simple pink dress shirt. Fuck it. This will do. So what if I look like a tennis instructor? That's a normal people thing. Her brush bit and pulled hard on her platinum hair. With a growl she pulled it out and started again, taking care to apply the proper force. As she clasped on several silver bangles to contrast against her dark skin, she texted the Secret Advisor.

"You can't even give me her name?"

"I could. But it wouldn't help you. Maybe you'd find her social media, but she isn't all that active on it."

"But like, she knows she's meeting me, right? You know how much my agent likes to charge for things like this. If he found out then... Honestly not much would happen. Just an argument. But I don't want them to just no show, then blab about having a private meeting with me."

"No she doesn't know she's meeting you. To be perfectly honest, Veera, I don't think she listens to your music."

"Oh. Well that's fine. Plenty of people don't."

"Are you upset?"

"I guess disappointed. If they really feel like I do as you said... I don't know. I can't imagine which would be the better option. I guess it's just a bubble. My fans would obviously love it."

"My thought was that if you met someone who shares your opinion and sexuality but didn't have a blind devotion to you that you would be more open to them. They have less reason to seek your approval and so more reason to be honest with you."

Veera read the text, then stopped to put makeup on in the mirror. Her first instinct was to apply the flashiest stuff she had, but as it was a small social visit, she stuck with the basics to accentuate her features. "I guess you're right. I get fawned over enough. I want to hear what this lady has to say."
