A week later Jackie was waiting in front of Valerie's apartment again. She went with about as casual an outfit as she had in her closet: a pair of baggy and faded work jeans, and an old purple blouse with draping fabric. What in the hell does this woman have in mind for mixing 'food and fun'. Fuck. I'm sure it'll be fun but... What even is going to happen.
The smells wafting under the door gave her some idea. The scent of a sweet tomato sauce filling the hall drew her closer to the door, while the earthen smell of freshly baked bread lulled her into a relaxing haze. In response to the viscerally delicious aroma her stomach growled.
Valerie opened the door dressed in a stretched-tight black punk-band shirt, and a pair of jogging shorts - black with white stripes down the side. She ushered her in with a demure smile.
Jackie grabbed the arch of her back and gave her a peck on the cheek before stepping inside. "That smells... Sooo good!" she lamented. "Spaghetti or something?"
"Lasagna. And some more fresh bread to go along with it."
Jackie laughed. "The only lasagna I've ever had came from the frozen department of the grocery store."
"Then I promise mine will wow you off your feet. But I guess any home-made lasagna would. It's easy to make. Just a lot of work. I cooked the meat sauce all day yesterday. And I used... eight cheeses in it? Doesn't matter. It will be amazing. I just put it in the oven. So it'll be about an hour before it's ready."
Jackie groaned. "It smells so good though. Do you have to tease me with that?"
"That's so much fun though. The anticipation makes it taste even better. Come on. I put on a bad movie to watch while we wait."
"Hah. Why a bad one?"
"I thought it would be more fun than watching a good one. With a quality movie, we'd sit there watching it and then what? With a bad one, we can socialize at the same time without worry of ruining some carefully crafted plot."
"Alright. Sure. Is this what you meant by food and fun?"
"Not quite. Come on. Sit with me."
Valerie grabbed Jackie's hand and pulled her to her framed band poster decorated living room. Jackie kicked off her shoes and nestled herself into the corner of the couch.
Valerie backed herself up into a snuggle with Jackie. She grabbed Jackie's hands and pressed them into her shirt-straining belly.
"Oh. Okay. Yeah." Jackie nearly jumped.
"Relax. Make yourself comfortable."
Jackie resisted laughing. Comfortable? That would probably be at home. Or out running. Fine though. At Valerie's behest, she settled down. After a short while, what surprised Jackie the most was how comfortable she was. Resting both hands atop Valerie's belly and under her breasts was comfortable. Warm. Her stomach, even held tight by cotton, was soft and pleasant to touch. Even as Valerie coaxed her to lightly caress her stomach, she found herself enjoying the sensuality of her softness. Even besides that, the weight of her leaning against her was pleasant. She was secure. Safe. Cared for. And the scent of the strawberry shampoo added a wonderful fruity bouquet to the bundle of aromas wafting from the kitchen. Even she was surprised when she took an opportunity to cup Valerie's breasts in her hands. She seemed pleased as well.
Jackie was even more surprised when unprompted, she brought her hands back down to hold Valerie's belly again. A particularly bad delivery of a line in the movie made them both break out in laughter. She held on tight as Valerie's belly jiggled in her grasp.
